Food truck hire in Hurley

How our food truck hire works in Hurley

You could pick fillings such as chicken tinga, carnitas or beef birria, with vegan choices like black bean and sweet potato. We plan for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free diets. For end-of-year celebrations and leaving dos and retirements, we will put together a menu of vegan tacos, burrito bowls and quesadillas and more.

Somewhere as small as Hurley, food truck hire can mean a garden, a field or a barn. Tell us about narrow lanes, gates and long drives. Soft ground after rain is worth mentioning too. We serve from the hatch of our food truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan the service around your numbers.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Contact us for a quote to compare.

Doing it yourself? Start with the quantities: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

The process

Serving is quick: we serve from the hatch or a serving station, so a crowd is looked after quickly. Afterwards we clear our area. A hired food truck at a summer event in Hurley can serve in daylight until about 9:25pm at midsummer, while late September brings sunset forward to around 7:05pm. For winter events, dark by about 3:55pm, plan lighting where guests queue at the hatch.

  1. Tell us what the event is and who’s coming.
  2. We suggest fillings and dishes for every diet.
  3. We check power, water and timings with the venue.
  4. Service runs at the times you choose.
  5. When everyone is fed, we clear our area.

Getting ready for the day

  • Find out what power and water are available
  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain

Prices and what affects them

Your quote will be clear. What affects it most:

  • Distance and access to the venue
  • Guest numbers
  • What the venue already provides
  • Staff for serving and the bar

When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Contact us for a quote and we will set out what’s included.

Getting an accurate quote

You don’t need everything decided to ask for a quote, but these help:

  • Your menu ideas
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • Where the event is
  • Roughly how many adults and children

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: the venue, the timings, food or drinks or both, and the access. When you are ready, send a quick message through our quote form.

Common questions in Hurley

Can we hire your food truck for a private party in Hurley?

Yes, depending on the date. For a private or work event in a village or hamlet, the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Will you travel to a small place like Hurley?

Yes, small places are no problem, given access. Tell us about lanes, gates, ground and parking.

When do you arrive?

That depends on your event and menu. Timings are agreed in advance to suit your day.

What guest numbers do you cater for?

Truck and trailer service generally suits around 50 to 400 guests. Smaller parties are quoted case by case.

How spicy is the food?

That’s your choice: we can keep the main dishes mild, with hotter salsas served separately.

Do you have options for kids?

Yes. We can keep dishes mild, and simple options such as quesadillas or nachos can be part of the menu. Include children in your numbers.

What space does the truck need?

Send us the address and a description of the spot, and we’ll check the access. There is more in our space and power guide.

Do you have dairy-free options?

Yes, on request. Tell us how many guests need dairy-free food, and we will plan the menu around them.

Planners, venues and businesses

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we will follow them.

For big numbers, we plan service to keep queues short, so everyone is served promptly. Let us know how long the break is.
