About our food truck hire in Lidsing

Pair the truck with our Mexican drinks bar for margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas, with licensing checked with you. We can add a taco-bar station next to the truck. It suits leaving dos and retirements and birthday parties, with burrito bowls, fresh salsas and guacamole and quesadillas.

In a rural place like Lidsing, access is the main thing to plan for a hired truck: gate widths, soft ground and the route from the road all matter. Power and water may be limited, so we confirm the arrangements before the day. We plan the timings around your day, whether that is speeches, a lunch break or a festival schedule.

Why choose food truck hire in Lidsing?

Hiring a food truck is different from finding one at a festival. At a festival we trade to the public; a private hire means your guests, your menu and your timings. When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Contact us for a quote and we will set out what’s included.

What’s on the menu

Burritos

Rice, beans, a filling and salsa wrapped in a big tortilla.

Loaded nachos

Nachos are good for sharing between friends; dairy-free versions can be planned.

Dietary needs and planning tips

Most events have a mix of diets. To cater well for them:

  • Tell us when guests should eat
  • Look into parking permissions if the truck can’t go off-road
  • Measure gates and look for low branches on the way in
  • Confirm allergies with us in writing

When service ends, we pack away.

Ask us about napkins, plates and cutlery and we’ll confirm the options in your quote.

Space, access and the venue

We will agree the spot with you before the day. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • A parking suspension, where a street spot is needed
  • Arrangements for power and water, agreed when you book
  • Level, solid ground for the vehicle

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise.

Lidsing questions

Will you travel to a small place like Lidsing?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Is it possible to have you in South Wood?

Only if the landowner, often the council, allows it. Ask them first, and we’ll help with the information they need from us.

How long are you on site?

We get there well before service to set up. The length of service is agreed when you book.

Can you cater in a back garden?

It depends on access. A drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission, if the garden itself is out of reach. Send us a photo and we will talk it through.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes, and we plan them in from the start. Tell us your numbers when you ask for a quote.

Do you cater for dietary needs?

We plan for diets before the day, though we can’t guarantee there are no traces of any allergen. Anyone with a severe allergy should contact us before the event.

Can guests build their own tacos?

Yes, a taco bar is one of our options. Let us know your numbers and space and we’ll recommend how to serve.

What happens if it rains?

The truck or trailer can serve in the rain, but guests need somewhere covered to eat and drink, such as a marquee, gazebo or nearby building.

Organising for someone else?

Wedding planners and venue coordinators are welcome to contact us directly, and we’ll keep everyone informed on the day.

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

Some hosts like to do it themselves. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the serving.

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: see how many tacos per person. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

What happens on the day

It is a relaxed, well-organised set-up. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, set up our truck or trailer, and get on with serving. Late-September events in Lidsing see sunset at about 7:00pm, so a later service will need some lighting. In late May, daylight lasts until about 8:50pm.

  1. Ask us whether your date is available.
  2. We agree a hatch menu and send a quote.
  3. The spot and the way in are agreed in advance.
  4. We drive in, open the hatch and serve your guests.
  5. After service, we close up and leave the spot clear.

Preparing for the day

  • Let us know the timings for the day
  • Find out what power and water are available
  • Measure any gates or arches on the way in
