Park Farm: parking, access and venues

Park Farm is about 1 mile south of Ashford, in Kent. For an event in Park Farm, we can serve in gardens, fields, venues, car parks and courtyards with access. We cater in all 922 towns and villages across Kent, from the larger towns to small villages. Our nearest city page is Canterbury, about 14 miles away.

Guests leaving a church like Church of St Michael could walk or drive to a nearby garden or hall where the truck is ready. Park Farm is about 49 miles from central London, close enough for a London team’s away day. With the Kent Downs National Landscape within about 6 miles, a rural setting for your private or work event is within reach. Firm ground and a clear way in matter most for the truck or trailer.

This part of Kent takes in TN23 and TN25, so your event can be anywhere in it. Local streets include Hawthorn Road, Snowbell Road and Redberry Road; for an event at home on any of them, tell us where the truck or trailer can park. We also serve at events in Kingsnorth (1 mile south-west), Newtown (1 mile north-east), Stanhope (1 mile north-west), South Willesborough (1 mile north-east) and Finberry (1 mile east). Within a short drive, we also cover Canterbury (14 miles north-east), Folkestone (13 miles east), Faversham (13 miles north), Hythe (10 miles east), Davington (14 miles north) and Preston (13 miles north).

Space, access and the venue

Every venue is different, so we ask about the space when you get in touch. In general, we need:

  • A clear area for a queue at the hatch
  • Firm, level ground or hardstanding where the truck or trailer can park
  • A parking suspension, where a street spot is needed

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise before you book.

FAQs for Park Farm

Can you bring your truck or trailer to Ashford Green Corridors?

Only if the landowner, often the council, allows it. Check with them, and we’ll provide what they ask for from us.

We’re having a ceremony at Church of St Michael: can you cater afterwards?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

Do you provide drinks?

Yes, we do. Our drinks bar can be booked on its own or with food. For alcohol, we will talk licensing through with you and your venue.

Can you cater in a back garden?

That depends on access. If the truck or trailer cannot reach the garden, a drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission. Tell us about the space and we will advise.

Can you serve in the rain?

We can serve from the hatch in the rain. Plan cover for guests, such as a marquee or gazebo, and let us know if the ground gets soft after heavy rain.

What guest numbers do you cater for?

Truck and trailer service typically suits around 50 to 400 guests. Smaller gatherings are looked at case by case.

What access do you need?

Access and level ground matter most: a firm spot for the truck or trailer, room for a queue and, for a taco bar, space for a serving table. Send us a photo and tell us about gates, slopes and soft ground.

Can you plan for allergies?

Our menus are planned with allergies in mind, nut allergies included, with allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we cannot promise anything is completely allergen-free. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.

How it works

From set-up to service, we look after everything you’ve booked from us, so you can spend time with your guests. December events in Park Farm lose the light at about 3:50pm, so choose a well-lit spot for the truck or trailer. At midsummer, sunset is around 9:15pm.

  1. Ask us whether your date is available.
  2. We agree a hatch menu and send a quote.
  3. The spot and the way in are agreed in advance.
  4. We drive in, open the hatch and serve your guests.
  5. We pack down and drive away when service ends.

Preparing for the day

  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
  • Name one person we can ask on the day

Planning help

Comparing your options

Several trucks mean several quotes and arrival times. One Mexican truck with a varied menu keeps things simple. Comparing caterers? Look at what each quote includes: serving hours, staff, disposables, travel and VAT. Our quote sets out what’s included.

What we offer in Park Farm

  • We cover Park Farm and the whole of Kent
  • Fast service, even with a queue
  • A quote that sets out what’s included
  • Options for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests

Take a look at how we price and what Mexican catering costs.

Planners, venues and businesses

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.

If you are organising for someone else, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we’ll work directly with you and the venue. It keeps things simple.

What affects the price in Park Farm

These are the factors that matter most:

  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food

The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Give us your numbers and we’ll quote.

What to tell us

You don’t need everything decided to ask for a quote, but these help:

  • Your menu ideas
  • The venue or postcode
  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • Your date and when you want service to start

Not sure what you need yet? That is fine: give us the basics about your event, and we will suggest a menu. When you are ready, fill in our quote form.

Catering for every guest

A Mexican menu is easy to plan for mixed diets, because guests can choose what suits them. Here are a few tips for planning:

  • Count children separately
  • Put anyone with a severe allergy in touch with us
  • Have shelter ready in case of rain
  • Tell us about coeliac guests

Running late? Tell us, and we’ll work around it.

A taco-bar station can sit next to the truck for a wedding breakfast or lunch.

Occasions we cater for in Park Farm

Nothing is needed from a venue kitchen, which opens up gardens, fields and car parks with the venue’s agreement.

Almost any gathering can work with a truck or trailer. People in Park Farm can book us for occasions like:

  • Summer parties at home
  • Engagement parties
  • Wedding evening food
  • Client hospitality

A food truck in Ashford Green Corridors would need the park owner’s agreement, so check that first.
