Food truck hire in Ringwould, from our food truck or trailer

Pair the truck with our Mexican drinks bar for margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas. A build-your-own taco bar can sit beside the truck too. It works well for engagements and anniversaries and winter staff parties, serving burritos, tacos from the hatch and vegan tacos.

For a rural spot like Ringwould, food truck hire needs a little planning: gate widths, soft ground and the route from the road all matter. Power and water may be limited, so we confirm the arrangements before the day. We cater for vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free guests, with allergen information for everything we serve.

The A258 serve Ringwould, so the drive to your event is a simple one for us. With the sea within about 3 miles, a hired food truck at a seaside venue is an option. The truck or trailer needs firm ground rather than sand or shingle, and seafront spots typically need permission.

What food truck hire costs

Every event is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • What’s on the menu
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • The length of service

Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, plus any add-ons and the location. We quote for each event individually.

What we need to know

The more we know about your event, the better we can plan. Try to include:

  • A picture of where we’d park
  • What you’d like on the menu
  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground

Every event is quoted individually, so the price fits what you actually want. For a quote, fill in our quote form.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, with allergen information for every dish.

Questions to ask before you book

Ringwould: your questions answered

Do you cater at coastal events near Ringwould?

We can, given firm ground and the landowner’s permission. Beaches and promenades usually need the council’s agreement, so check that first.

Could you serve our guests after a service at Church of St Nicholas?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. We’d serve at the reception venue rather than at the church itself. Tell us where the reception will be.

What happens if it rains?

Rain doesn’t normally stop service from the truck or trailer. It is worth planning a covered area for guests, and let us know if the ground gets soft after heavy rain.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We pack down and tidy our own area after service. Ask us if you’d like help with anything else.

Do you do food truck hire for weddings?

We can serve from the truck for the wedding meal, the evening or both. Timings are agreed with you and your venue. See our food truck wedding guide.

How long are you on site?

We get there well before service to set up. Serving times are agreed with you in advance.

Do you have vegan options?

Yes, and we plan them in from the start. Let us know how many vegetarian and vegan guests to expect.

Can you do dairy-free food?

We can. Dairy-free options are part of our menus.

How the day works

It is a relaxed, well-organised set-up. Arrival and serving times are agreed beforehand, set up our truck or trailer, and get on with serving. By late September, it is dark in Ringwould at around 7:00pm, so a later service will need some lighting. In late May, daylight lasts until about 8:45pm.

  1. Tell us what the event is and who’s coming.
  2. We suggest fillings and dishes for every diet.
  3. Power, water and timings are agreed with you or the venue.
  4. The truck serves at the agreed times.
  5. Once service ends, we tidy up and go.

Before you choose a spot

Every venue is different, so we’ll ask about yours when you get in touch. Generally, we look for:

  • Some space between the truck and nearby homes
  • Firm, level ground or hardstanding where the truck or trailer can park
  • Enough width and height on the route in

If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.
