Mexican catering in Broadfield

About our Mexican catering in Broadfield

We bring our truck or trailer to events in and around Broadfield: private gardens, venue grounds, courtyards and fields, as long as there’s safe access. It works well for festivals, fairs and markets and engagement and anniversary parties, with fresh salsas and guacamole, tacos and loaded nachos.

In and around Broadfield, gardens and local halls are common choices. If access is tight or the ground is soft, we’ll plan around it. You can book food, drinks or both, so the food and drinks can come from one caterer.

Working with your venue

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we will follow them.

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can check the date.

Planning a food truck in Broadfield

Broadfield is about 1 mile south-west of Crawley, in West Sussex. For an event in Broadfield, we can park up at venues, fields, drives and courtyards in and around Broadfield. We cater in all 371 towns and villages in West Sussex. Our truck and trailer cover the area from Broadfield to Brighton (about 18 miles away).

Historic houses near Broadfield include Tyes Place (4.4 miles south-east). Estates and historic houses tend to set their own rules for caterers, so find out what yours allows first. Thinking of an event in Target Hill Park? Public parks generally need the landowner’s permission for a food truck, so check first.

This part of West Sussex takes in RH11 and RH10. Streets in the area include Terry Road, Hobbs Road and Clark Road, and an event on any of them can work if the truck or trailer can park nearby. Nearby, we also cater events in Kilnwood Vale (2 miles west), Colgate (2 miles south-west), Faygate (2 miles west), Handcross (3 miles south) and Plummers Plain (4 miles south). We also cater in nearby towns such as Horsham (5 miles west), Haywards Heath (8 miles south-east), Burgess Hill (10 miles south), East Grinstead (9 miles east), Billingshurst (12 miles south-west) and Roffey (4 miles west).

A little further out are Crawley Hospital (1.5 miles north) and Crawley Museum (1.7 miles north-east). Green spaces nearby include Tilgate Lake.

  • Schools near Broadfield include Discovery New School (0.5 miles east) and Cottesmore School (0.7 miles south-west)
  • Pubs nearby include The New Moon pub (0.8 miles north-east)

What we need at the venue

The route in matters as much as the spot itself. We look for:

  • Space for guests to queue
  • A flat, firm spot where the truck or trailer can stand
  • Space for a taco-bar table if you’ve chosen one

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise.

Popular choices

  • Burrito bowls
  • Loaded nachos
  • Build-your-own taco bar
  • Burritos
  • Tacos
  • Quesadillas

Planning for every diet

Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Here’s how you can help:

  • Mention any other caterers or courses
  • Plan somewhere covered for guests to eat if it rains
  • Ensure the menu has a vegan option
  • Confirm the venue is happy to have a catering vehicle

We have allergen information for every dish at the hatch, and guests are welcome to ask before ordering.

Ask us about plates, cutlery and serving staff and we’ll confirm what’s possible with your quote.

Can I do a taco night myself?

Weighing up a DIY taco night against a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Ask us for a quote and compare.

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

What’s on the menu

Loaded nachos

Nachos are easy sharing food. We can plan a dairy-free version.

Quesadillas

Toasted tortillas with melted cheese inside.

The process

Guests tend to gather around the truck, so we plan a spot with space for people to queue. Rain does not generally stop us serving, though guests will want somewhere covered to stand or sit. Around midsummer it stays light in Broadfield until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so summer evening events are normally served in daylight. For winter events, when it is dark by about 3:55pm, plan lighting where guests queue and eat.

  1. Start by telling us about your event.
  2. You get a sample menu and a quote.
  3. Access, the serving spot, power and water are agreed in advance.
  4. On the day we park up, set up and serve hot food to order.
  5. Once service ends, we clear away.

How to prepare

  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day
  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site

Prices and what affects them

Pricing is straightforward once we know the basics:

  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • Food, drinks or both
  • What the venue already provides
  • What’s on the menu

Extras, such as more dishes, extra drinks or a longer service, are quoted on request, so you can choose what you need.

What to tell us

To check availability and price, we need:

  • The date and rough timings
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • The address or venue name
  • Your menu ideas

The quickest way to a quote is to send a quick message through our quote form. Give us the details of your event, and we will put together a menu and price.
