About our Mexican catering in Church Norton

Mobile Mexican catering means the kitchen comes to you: we park our food truck or trailer on site and serve hot food from it. No kitchen is needed on site. On the menu are burrito bowls, quesadillas and tacos, which works well for leaving dos and retirement parties and fundraisers and school events.

In a hamlet or village like Church Norton, your own garden or a neighbour’s field can make a good venue. Gates, verges and soft ground are worth mentioning when you enquire. We prepare everything fresh for your event and serve it straight from our food truck or trailer.

Church Norton: venues, access and local tips

Church Norton is about 1 mile north-east of Selsey, in West Sussex. For an event in Church Norton, we can park up at venues, fields, drives and courtyards in and around Church Norton. We cater in 371 places in West Sussex, from the larger towns to small villages, wherever the truck or trailer can get in. Our truck and trailer cover the area from Church Norton to Brighton (about 29 miles away).

Guests arriving by train will find that the nearest station is Bognor Regis station, about 4.9 miles north-east. For a christening or wedding at a church such as St Wilfrid's Chapel, a food truck at a garden or venue nearby is an easy way to feed everyone. The coast is within about 2 miles of Church Norton, so for a seaside event we plan around the wind. The truck or trailer needs firm ground rather than sand or shingle, and seafront spots generally need permission from the council or landowner.

Mexican catering in PO20 is planned around your venue and access and timings. Local streets include Grange Lane and Rectory Lane; for an event at home on any of them, tell us where the truck or trailer can park. We also serve at events in Selsey (1 mile south-west), Keynor Estate (2 miles north-west), Pagham (2 miles north-east), Sidlesham (2 miles north) and Nyetimber (2 miles north-east). We also cater in nearby towns such as Bognor Regis (5 miles north-east), Chichester (6 miles north), Littlehampton (11 miles east), Emsworth (10 miles north-west), Rustington (12 miles east) and Angmering (14 miles north-east).

Other landmarks nearby include Selsey Lifeboat Museum (1.5 miles south) and Bognor Regis War Memorial Hospital (5.1 miles north-east).

  • The number of people

What’s on the menu makes a difference to the total, so share your ideas with us. We will suggest options to suit your budget.

Questions from Church Norton

Do you cater at coastal events near Church Norton?

We can, given firm ground and the landowner’s permission. Beaches and promenades normally need the council’s agreement, so check that first.

How far is Church Norton from central London?

About 59 miles from central London, and we cover it.

Do you have options for kids?

Yes. We can keep dishes mild, and simple options such as quesadillas or nachos can be part of the menu. Include children in your numbers.

What space do you need?

We need level, firm ground or hardstanding, access wide and high enough to drive in, and the venue’s permission. Power and water are confirmed with each booking.

How is the food prepared?

Food is cooked to order in our food truck or trailer, or served from a build-your-own taco bar. Fillings are slow-cooked beforehand and finished on site.

Do you do parties at home?

It depends on access. If the truck or trailer cannot reach the garden, a drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission. Send us a picture and we’ll talk it through.

Which areas do you serve?

London and the South East: Greater London, Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and Oxfordshire.

How long do you serve for?

We get there well before service to set up. The length of service is agreed when you book.

Diets, allergies and planning

Every guest is catered for, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free included. To make it work smoothly:

  • Give us separate numbers for children
  • Think about cover for guests in wet weather
  • Let us know if a guest is coeliac
  • Put guests with severe allergies in touch with us early

Allergen information is on hand for every dish, and guests are welcome to ask before ordering.

Burrito bowls suit guests who’d rather skip the tortilla.

Space, access and the venue

Plenty of outdoor spaces and venues work for us, but there are a few things to check:

  • Room for a serving table for the taco bar
  • A sensible distance from buildings and neighbours
  • Details of power and water on site, agreed when you book

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we will tell you honestly before booking.

Quesadillas

Tortillas filled with melted cheese and a filling, toasted until crisp, cut into wedges.

Tacos

Tacos are the classic street food of Mexico. We serve them with salsas and toppings, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests.

How it works

On the day, we position the truck or trailer and get the serving area ready. We’re ready to serve at the agreed time, so everything runs to your schedule. A December event in Church Norton will be in the dark from about 4:00pm, so choose a spot where guests can see what they’re ordering. At midsummer, the light holds until around 9:20pm.

  1. Begin with the date, the place and the numbers.
  2. Expect a suggested menu and a quote.
  3. Nearer the date, we go over the final plan.
  4. We serve hot food from our food truck or trailer at the agreed time.
  5. We pack away when service is over.

How to prepare

  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve
  • Measure any gates or arches on the way in
  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain

How to get a price

Working with your venue

If you’re organising for someone else, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we will work directly with you and the venue. It keeps things simple.

Throwing a party at home? Send a photo of the space and tell us about access, and we will let you know if it’s a good fit.

Should I do it myself?

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the serving.

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
  • Mexican drinks bar: margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas
