Mexican catering in Street End

Mexican catering for your event in Street End

Every menu is agreed with you, with fillings such as slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga or beef birria, alongside vegan choices such as black beans or spiced mushrooms. For engagement and anniversary parties and summer garden parties, we can serve burritos, quesadillas and loaded nachos for your guests.

Somewhere as small as Street End, a garden or field is often the venue. Country lanes, long drives and gates are fine if we know about them, and soft ground after rain is worth mentioning. We plan the timings around your day, whether that’s speeches, a lunch break or a festival schedule.

How to compare caterers

Catering an event in Street End

Street End is about 4 miles north of Selsey, in West Sussex. Anywhere in PO20, we can bring the truck or trailer to you. We serve in all 371 towns and villages across West Sussex, from the larger towns to small villages. Our truck and trailer cover the area from Street End to Southampton (about 28 miles away).

When the service is at a church such as St Mary Our Lady Sidlesham, the food normally happens elsewhere, at a field, hall or garden with room for the truck. For guests coming by train, the nearest station is Chichester station, about 3.2 miles north. Coastal events near Street End, which is within about 5 miles of the sea, bring wind and sand into the planning. Tell us exactly where you’d like us and we will check access.

We cater events across the PO20 postcode area. Streets in the area include Church Lane, Selsey Road and Chalder Lane, and an event on any of them can work if the truck or trailer can park nearby. If your venue is just outside Street End, we also cover Sidlesham Common (1 mile north-west), Sidlesham (1 mile south), Keynor Estate (1 mile south), Fisher (1 mile north-east) and South Mundham (2 miles north-east). Further out, we also cater in Bognor Regis (5 miles east), Chichester (4 miles north), Selsey (4 miles south), Littlehampton (11 miles east), Emsworth (8 miles north-west) and Rustington (12 miles east).

Other landmarks nearby include Chichester Castle (3.8 miles north) and Chichester Cathedral Treasury (3.4 miles north).

Should I do it myself?

Weighing up a DIY taco night against a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Ask us for a quote and compare.

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

Dietary needs and planning tips

Most events have a mix of diets. To plan for them:

  • Ask guests with severe allergies to talk to us before the event
  • Send allergy details to us in writing
  • Plan somewhere covered for guests to eat if it rains
  • Plan a vegan filling as well as a vegetarian one

When service ends, we pack down and clear our area, leaving the space as we found it.

Quesadillas go down well with children, because they’re simple.

How it compares

Sit-down meals need a kitchen, tables and more staff. A food truck or trailer is its own kitchen, so we need a suitable spot, access and the venue’s permission, with power and water confirmed when you book. Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, as there’s no kitchen to hire. Contact us for a quote to compare.

Why us?

  • Everything served fresh from the hatch
  • Food and drinks from one caterer, if you want both
  • A plan agreed before the day
  • A menu built around your guests

See our prices page or our guide to catering costs.

Step by step

From set-up to service, we look after everything you’ve booked from us, so you can enjoy your event. Daylight in Street End runs to about 8:50pm in late May and 7:05pm in late September. Let us know if service will run after dark, and we’ll talk about lighting.

  1. First, send us your date, venue, numbers and any diets we should know about.
  2. We put together a menu around your guests and quote for it.
  3. Before the day, we agree access, the serving spot, power and water.
  4. We arrive, set up and cook to order, with salsas and guacamole made fresh.
  5. Once everyone has eaten, we tidy our serving area and head off.

Before we arrive

  • Give us a contact for the day
  • Tell us about narrow gates or low branches
  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site

Ask for a quote

We need only a few details to quote: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. To send them, tell us about it on our contact page.

Your questions about Mexican catering in Street End

Is Street End close to London?

Roughly 58 miles from the centre of London.

Do you come out to small places like Street End?

Yes, small places are no problem, given access. Tell us about lanes, gates, ground and parking.

Do you need power and water?

It depends on the event and the set-up, and we agree power and water with you before the day. Tell us what’s available at your venue.

What’s on the menu?

Every menu is agreed with you. Fillings might include slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga, beef birria and vegan options such as spiced mushrooms or black beans. See our menu for ideas.

Is the food very hot?

That is your choice: we can keep the main dishes mild, with hotter salsas served separately.

When should we book?

Early, particularly for summer Saturdays. Ask about your date even if it’s soon.

How does mobile Mexican catering work?

We bring our truck or trailer to your venue, cook to order and serve tacos, burritos and more from the hatch. A build-your-own taco bar is another option.

Do you take everything away?

We clear our own area when service is finished. Ask us if you’d like help with anything else.

Before you choose a spot

Every venue is different, so we ask about the space when you get in touch. In general, we need:

  • Access wide and high enough to drive in, with gates and soft lawns checked first
  • Room for a serving table for the taco bar
  • Room for a queue in front of the serving hatch

If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.

How we price Mexican catering

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, depending on:

  • Parking and the route in
  • Whether you need disposables
  • Timings and hours
  • Food, drinks or both

Extras, such as more dishes, extra drinks or a longer service, are quoted on request, so you can choose what you need.

Details that help

Good planning starts with a few facts. Please include:

  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • What power and water the site has
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • How we drive in and where we can park

A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: the venue, the timings, food or drinks or both, and the access. To send your details, send us your details through our quote form.
