Mexican catering near Dorney

What Mexican catering costs

The price comes down to a few factors:

  • Whether you need disposables
  • Parking and the route in
  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • How many guests we’re serving

Access, parking and the distance to your venue can affect the price, so tell us about the venue when you ask for a quote. The full price is confirmed in your quote.

Getting an accurate quote

To speed things up, tell us:

  • A picture of the space, if it is a garden or field
  • Where the event is
  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground

Send us the date, your venue or SL4 postcode and guest numbers, along with any dietary needs, and you will get menu ideas and a price. Just send us your details through our quote form.

Mexican catering for your event in Dorney

Every menu is agreed with you, with fillings such as slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga or beef birria, alongside vegan choices such as black beans or spiced mushrooms. For family celebrations and festivals, fairs and markets, we can serve fresh salsas and guacamole, tacos and a build-your-own taco bar and more.

For a rural spot like Dorney, fields and drives need a little planning: the gate, the ground and the route from the lane. We confirm power and water arrangements with you before the day. We turn up ready to serve, and tidy our own area afterwards.

Planning a food truck in Dorney

Dorney is about 2 miles north-west of Windsor, in Windsor and Maidenhead. Events in Dorney are planned around your venue and timings: a quote, a plan and friendly service on the day. We cater in all 57 towns and villages in Windsor and Maidenhead, wherever the truck or trailer can get in. You can also see our page for Reading, about 14 miles away.

Before you pencil in Sutherland Grange, find out who manages it: driving a truck onto parkland and selling food there both need their agreement. Historic houses near Dorney include Dorney Court (0.5 miles west) and St Leonard's Hill (2.4 miles south). Estates and historic houses tend to set their own rules for caterers, so find out what yours allows first.

We cover events in every part of SL4. That could mean an event at a home with a drive on Common Road, Village Road and Boveney Road or the roads around them. For events just outside Dorney, we cover Lake End (1 mile north-west), Dorney Reach (1 mile west), Cippenham (1 mile north-east), Huntercombe (1 mile north) and Bray (2 miles west). Why choose Mexican catering in Dorney?

You don’t need a kitchen, so it works in gardens, fields and grounds without catering facilities.

A truck or trailer works for big and small events alike. Common bookings include:

  • Garden parties
  • Retirement and leaving parties
  • Festivals, fairs and markets
  • Weddings, day or evening

Guests arriving by train will find that the nearest station is Burnham station, about 1.4 miles north.

How to compare caterers

Planning for every diet

With a little notice, most diets are easy. Our advice:

  • Ask the venue whether food trucks are allowed
  • Send allergy details to us in writing
  • Tell us what other food is being served
  • Flag anyone with coeliac disease

Rain does not stop us serving from the truck or trailer, though guests need somewhere under cover to eat.

Burrito bowls suit guests who’d rather skip the tortilla.

Space, access and the venue

We will be honest if a space won’t work, and suggest an alternative. What matters most:

  • A flat, firm spot where the truck or trailer can stand
  • A clear area in front of the hatch for a queue
  • A route in that’s wide and tall enough, with soft ground checked in advance

If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think.

Dorney: your questions answered

How far is Dorney from central London?

It is about 24 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St James?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.

What’s on the menu?

Mexican street food and drinks: tacos, taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas, with salsas, guacamole and toppings. A drinks bar is available too, with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas.

Do you need power and water?

It depends on the event and the set-up, and we agree power and water with you before the day. Let us know whether there is a supply near where we will park.

What is mobile Mexican catering?

Our food truck or trailer is a mobile kitchen. We set up at your venue, serve hot food to order and pack down afterwards.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We pack down and tidy our own area after service. For anything beyond that, such as guests’ tables, ask us.

How spicy is the food?

The food can be kept mild, with hotter salsas on the side for anyone who wants more heat.

Do you have vegan options?

Yes, they’re part of the planning from the start. Tell us your numbers when you ask for a quote, and we’ll keep their options separate.

Organising for someone else?

If you are booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we’ll talk you through the process. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.

If you’re planning an event on someone’s behalf, whether you are a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we’ll work directly with you and the venue. It saves passing messages back and forth.

Is Mexican catering right for your event?

A plated meal needs a kitchen and a larger team. A food truck or trailer is its own kitchen, so we need a suitable spot, access and the venue’s permission, with power and water confirmed when you book. Larger events can cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Give us your numbers and we’ll quote.
