How our Mexican catering works in Dorney Reach

Planning taco catering for an event in Dorney Reach? The menu starts with tacos: warmed tortillas, a choice of fillings, and salsas, guacamole and toppings to finish. We can add burritos, burrito bowls, nachos and quesadillas. At weddings and evening receptions and fundraisers and school events, we can serve a build-your-own taco bar, fresh salsas and guacamole and loaded nachos.

Somewhere as small as Dorney Reach, a garden or field is often the venue. Country lanes, long drives and gates are fine if we know about them, and firm ground matters, especially after rain. You can book food, drinks or both, so the food and drinks can come from one caterer.

Step by step

We work to your timings. If things run behind, let us know and we will adjust where we can. Around midsummer it stays light in Dorney Reach until about 9:25pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so summer evening service is normally in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:55pm, so winter events need lighting around the truck and the queue.

  1. It begins with the basics: your date, venue, guest numbers and dietary needs.
  2. You get a suggested menu, with fillings agreed with you, and a quote.
  3. Together we confirm where the truck or trailer will park, plus power and water.
  4. We arrive, set up and cook to order, with salsas and guacamole made fresh.
  5. When service ends, we pack down and clear our area.

Getting ready for the day

Questions from Dorney Reach

What’s the nearest station to Dorney Reach for guests?

Guests can use Taplow station, about 1.1 miles north of Dorney Reach.

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St James?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

Do you have options for kids?

Yes, children are welcome. Let us know numbers and ages, and we’ll plan the menu with them in mind.

What food and drinks do you offer?

Every menu is agreed with you. Fillings might include slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga, beef birria and vegan options such as spiced mushrooms or black beans. See our menu for ideas.

What does Mexican catering cost?

Every event is quoted individually, based on what you actually need. Tell us your date and numbers and we’ll reply with a quote.

Can you serve in bad weather?

We serve from the truck or trailer whatever the weather, but guests will need somewhere covered to eat.

Do you take everything away?

We pack down and tidy our own area after service. Ask us if you’d like help with anything else.

When do you arrive?

That depends on your event and menu. We agree arrival, service and pack-down times with you to suit your day.

Prices and what affects them

Contact us for a quote, which reflects:

  • How many guests we’re serving
  • The menu you choose
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • Whether you need disposables

When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Our quote sets out what’s included.

What to tell us

You don’t need every detail fixed to get a quote, but these help:

  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • Your menu ideas
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • Roughly how many adults and children

Most quotes start with a few simple details: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. Contact us for a quote: just drop us a line using the enquiry form.

Organising for someone else?

Events in public spaces, like parks, generally need permission. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.

If you’re booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we will explain how it works. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.

Comparing your options

A drop-off platter is easy, but nobody remembers it. Hot food served from a truck feels like part of the event. Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, as there is no kitchen to hire. Ask us for a quote.

Planning the serving area

We’ll be honest if a space will not work, and help find another spot. What matters most:

  • A spot for a taco-bar serving table
  • Permission from the venue or landowner
  • A flat, firm spot where the truck or trailer can stand
