Mexican catering near Eastfields

Mexican catering in Eastfields, served fresh

A build-your-own taco bar is one of the most sociable ways to feed a crowd. Everyone builds their own tacos from what’s laid out, so each plate is exactly how they like it. It suits leaving dos and retirement parties and milestone birthdays, serving quesadillas, burritos and tacos.

Around Eastfields, parking and loading are the main things to plan for a truck or trailer. Narrow streets and permit bays decide where we can stop, so tell us about a driveway, a courtyard or whether a parking suspension is needed when you ask for a quote. All of Greater London, Eastfields included, is inside the ULEZ. Food and drinks can be booked together or separately, so one caterer can cover more of the day.

Planning a food truck in Eastfields

Eastfields is about 3 miles south-east of Wimbledon, in Greater London. Whether your event is in the middle of Eastfields or on the outskirts, Mexican catering works the same way: fresh service from our food truck or trailer, every diet planned for and a clear quote. Eastfields is one of 764 towns and villages in Greater London where we can bring Mexican catering. You can also see our page for London, about 7 miles away.

If you are organising a summer fair for a school like St Mark's Church of England Academy, a taco truck can be a crowd-pleaser. Guests leaving a church like St. Mark's Church after a christening could walk over to a nearby garden where the tacos are ready.

Wherever your event is in CR4, SW16 and SW17, we can bring Mexican catering to you. Streets in the area include Bond Road, Hill Road and York Lane, and an event on any of them can work if the truck or trailer can park nearby. We also serve at events in Mitcham (1 mile south), Hackbridge (1 mile south), Colliers Wood (1 mile north-west), Furzedown (1 mile north) and Merton Abbey (1 mile west). Further out, we also cater in London (7 miles north), City of Westminster (7 miles north), Marylebone (8 miles north), Kensington (7 miles north), St Pancras (8 miles north) and Shoreditch (9 miles north).

A little further out are Wandle Industrial Museum (0.7 miles south-west) and St Leonard's (1.7 miles north-east). Open spaces near Eastfields include Henman Hill and Oakleigh Way.

  • Nearby schools include Lonesome Primary School (under half a mile east) and Furzedown Secondary School (1.1 miles north)
  • Nearby, you’ll find The White Lion of Mortimer pub (within half a mile west)

Catering for every guest

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Try these:

  • Ask guests about diets and allergies with your invitations
  • Guests with serious allergies should speak to us in advance
  • Plan somewhere covered for guests to eat if it rains
  • Confirm allergies by email before the event

We arrive early enough to set up calmly. All we need is someone to show us the agreed spot.

Burrito bowls suit guests who’d rather skip the tortilla.

Eastfields: your questions answered

Which station should guests use for Eastfields?

Mitcham Eastfields station, in Eastfields itself.

Can you cater a reception after a service at St. Mark's Church?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

Can you cater for special diets?

Diets are planned in advance, with options kept separate, though we cannot guarantee a kitchen with no trace of any allergen. Anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us first.

Can you set up at our venue?

Send us details of the venue and the access, and we will confirm what we need. We also need room for a queue.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Yes. Vegetarian and vegan fillings, such as spiced mushrooms or black beans, can be part of the menu.

How much will it cost?

There’s no fixed price list, as each event is different. Tell us your numbers and plans and we will send a quote for your event.

How far ahead should we book?

The sooner the better. Peak dates go quickly, so contact us early.

What access do you need?

The main things are access and a level spot: a level spot to park, space for guests to queue and a little room for a serving table. If in doubt, send us a photo of the space and the way in.

Mexican catering or something else?

A plated meal needs a kitchen and a larger team. Our truck or trailer brings its own kitchen, and needs a suitable spot, safe access and the venue’s agreement. Access, parking and the distance to your venue can affect the price, so it helps to tell us about your venue. The full price is confirmed in your quote.

What we offer in Eastfields

  • Book food, drinks or both
  • Allergen information for every dish
  • Menus chosen with you
  • Quoted for your event

Take a look at our prices page and what Mexican catering costs.

Can I do a taco night myself?

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles allergen information for you.

Some hosts like to do it themselves. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the serving.

Organising for someone else?

Planning an event for a club, school or charity in Eastfields? Service from a truck or trailer is quick, even for a crowd, and the menu can suit most diets. Tell us about the event and we will suggest a menu.

For larger events, we plan serving points around your timings, so guests are looked after quickly. Let us know how long the break is.

Occasions we cater for in Eastfields

Food is cooked to order and served hot, rather than sitting out on a buffet table.

We can help if you’re planning any of the following:

  • Leaving dos and retirement parties

  • Summer garden parties

Thinking of an event in Figge's Marsh? Public parks normally need the landowner’s permission for a food truck, so check first.

How it works

Service is quick and friendly: guests are served at the hatch or a serving station, so a crowd is looked after quickly. Afterwards we clear our area. Daylight in Eastfields runs to about 8:50pm in late May and 7:05pm in late September. If your event carries on later, tell us what lighting the venue has.

  1. Send us your date, numbers and venue.
  2. We plan a menu that covers every diet.
  3. We check the route in and where the truck or trailer will stand.
  4. Guests order at the hatch or build their own at the taco bar.
  5. After the last serving, we clear our area.

Before we arrive

  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
  • Share the running order, including any speeches
  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park

How to get a price

We need only a few details to quote: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. Contact us for a quote: just use our quote form.

Prices and what affects them

Every event is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Parking and the route in
  • How long we are needed on site
  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food

Larger events can cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

What to tell us

The more we know about your event, the better we can plan. Try to include:

  • The venue or postcode
  • Expected numbers
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • What you’d like on the menu

Still deciding on the menu? That is fine: tell us about the occasion and the guests, and we will make suggestions. When you’re ready, tell us about it on our contact page.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
  • Mexican drinks bar: margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas
