Mexican catering for your event in Graffham

Mobile Mexican catering means the kitchen comes to you: we park our food truck or trailer on site and serve hot food from it. No kitchen is needed on site. For weddings and evening receptions and leaving parties, we’ll put together a menu of burrito bowls, quesadillas and fresh salsas and guacamole for your guests.

Somewhere as small as Graffham, a garden or field is often the venue. Tell us about narrow lanes, gates and long drives and we’ll plan for them, and soft ground after rain is worth mentioning. We cater for vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free guests, with allergen information for everything we serve.

How it works

We get there well before you want to serve, then set up and prepare everything. When service opens, guests come up to the hatch or serving table. A December event in Graffham will be in the dark from about 4:00pm, so choose a spot where guests can see what they’re ordering. In late June, by contrast, daylight lasts until about 9:20pm.

  1. Begin with the date, the place and the numbers.
  2. Expect a suggested menu and a quote.
  3. Closer to the day, we confirm timings and arrangements.
  4. We serve hot food from our truck or trailer at the agreed time.
  5. When you are done, we pack away.

Before we arrive

Should I do it myself?

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

Prices and what affects them

We’ll give you a clear quote. What affects it most:

  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • What the venue already provides
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • How many guests we’re serving

Pricing depends on the event. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Your quote sets it all out.

What we need to know

A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what’s useful:

  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • The date and time of the event

Getting a quote is simple: share your date, venue, numbers and diets. We’ll send you a clear quote.

Planning for every diet

With a little notice, most diets are easy. We suggest:

  • Check that your venue allows outside caterers and vehicles
  • Add a dietary question to your RSVP
  • Plan a vegan filling as well as a vegetarian one
  • Plan somewhere covered for guests to eat if it rains

We have allergen information for every dish at the hatch, so guests can check before they order.

Tell us if you need plates, cutlery or serving staff and we will confirm what’s possible with your quote.

Graffham questions

Can you bring a truck or trailer to venues in the South Downs National Park?

We do, where the venue allows a catering vehicle. Lanes can be narrow and ground soft, so tell us how we’d get in.

Can you cater a reception after a service at The Parish Church of St Giles?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

Do you provide drinks?

Yes, we run a Mexican drinks bar, serving margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas such as hibiscus and horchata, and soft drinks. Your venue or event may need the right licence for alcohol, so we will talk licensing through with you.

Do you cater for big events?

That depends on the event. As a guide, it’s around 50 to 400 guests; tell us your numbers and we will plan around them.

Can you do dairy-free food?

Yes, we can. Tell us how many guests need dairy-free food, and we’ll include them in the plan.

Do you have gluten-free options?

Yes, with corn tortillas. Corn tortillas are naturally gluten-free, but some fillings, sauces and toppings may not be, so we check every dish and give allergen information.

How big an event can you cater?

That depends on the menu and the service time, but around 50 to 400 guests is the usual range. For anything outside that, ask us.

What about power on site?

Let us know what’s available on site, for instance a supply from the venue, and we will confirm the arrangements with your quote.

Why choose Mexican catering in Graffham?

Mixed diets are easy to plan for, since everyone picks their own fillings and toppings. Vegans and vegetarians eat as well as anyone else.

Big or small, a truck or trailer works well. Typical bookings include:

  • Garden parties
  • Birthday parties
  • Company summer parties
  • Fairs and festivals

If you are celebrating after a service at a church like The Parish Church of St Giles, a truck or trailer parked at a hall or garden close by can serve the meal.

What to look for in a quote

  • Where to see their hygiene rating
  • Payment terms and deposit
  • A clear list of what’s included
  • How each diet is kept separate

Choosing a Mexican caterer
