Planning an event in Hammill Park?

Mexican catering for your event in Hammill Park

Our truck and trailer service tends to suit around 50 to 400 guests. Larger festivals and smaller parties are looked at case by case, so tell us your numbers. At festivals, fairs and markets and garden get-togethers, we can serve burrito bowls, fresh salsas and guacamole and burritos and more.

Somewhere as small as Hammill Park, a garden or field is often the venue. Country lanes, long drives and gates are fine if we know about them, and firm ground matters, especially after rain. We cater for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan guests, with allergen information for everything we serve.

Catering for every guest

We take diets and allergies seriously. Here’s how you can help:

  • Put any allergies in writing for us
  • Include at least one vegan filling
  • Give us separate numbers for children
  • Let us know about any other food at the event

If timings change on the day, tell us and we’ll adjust.

Extra salsas and toppings can widen the choice.

What we need at the venue

Many gardens, fields and venues can take a truck or trailer, but there are a few things to check:

  • The venue’s or landowner’s permission for a catering vehicle
  • Access wide and high enough to drive in, with gates and soft lawns checked first
  • A clear area in front of the hatch for a queue

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise before you book.

FAQs for Hammill Park

What’s the nearest station to Hammill Park for guests?

The closest is Sandwich station, roughly 2.7 miles away.

Could you come to a seaside event near Hammill Park?

We can, given firm ground and the landowner’s permission. Beaches and promenades usually need the council’s agreement, so check that first.

What if it rains?

We can still serve in the rain. Have somewhere covered ready for guests.

Can you do dairy-free food?

Yes. Dairy-free options are part of our menus.

How big an event can you cater?

That depends on the menu and the service time, but our truck and trailer service normally suits around 50 to 400 guests. For anything outside that, ask us.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes, and we plan them in from the start. Tell us your numbers when you ask for a quote.

Is the food very hot?

We can keep it mild, and hotter salsas go on the side for guests who like heat.

What do you serve?

Mexican street food: tacos and build-your-own taco bars, burritos, burrito bowls, nachos and quesadillas, with salsas, guacamole and toppings. A drinks bar is available too, with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas.

Why choose Mexican catering in Hammill Park?

A barbecue often means a host tied to the grill. With us, the cooking happens in our food truck or trailer, so you can enjoy your event. Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, plus any add-ons and the location. Every event gets its own quote.

Why book with us

  • Served fresh from our truck or trailer

Taco catering in Hammill Park: local tips

Hammill Park is about 5 miles north-west of Deal, in Kent. Tell us where your event in Hammill Park will be, and we’ll plan the journey and set-up before the day. Hammill Park is one of 922 towns and villages in Kent where we can bring Mexican catering. Our truck and trailer cover the area from Hammill Park to Canterbury (9 miles away).

Around Hammill Park, historic houses include Goodnestone Park (2.6 miles west). If your event is at a historic house or estate, check its rules on outside caterers and vehicles early. If you are celebrating after a service at a church like Church of St Mary the Virgin, a truck or trailer parked at a hall or garden close by can serve the meal. The coast is within about 6 miles of Hammill Park, so for a seaside event we plan around the wind. The truck or trailer needs firm ground rather than sand or shingle, and seafront spots generally need permission from the council or landowner.

This part of Kent takes in CT13. From Elizabeth Drive and Colliery Lane or a nearby road, we will plan where to park and serve. We also serve at events in Flemings (1 mile north), Heronden (1 mile south), Barnsole (1 mile north-west), Coombe (1 mile north) and Staple (1 mile north-west). Further out, we also cater in Canterbury (9 miles west), Margate (10 miles north-east), Dover (8 miles south), Folkestone (13 miles south-west), Ramsgate (8 miles north-east) and Broadstairs (10 miles north-east).

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, depending on:

  • How many guests we are serving

Details that help

When you contact us, it helps to tell us:

  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • A picture of where we’d park
  • How we drive in and where we can park

We need only a few details to quote: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. Contact us for a quote: just use our quote form.

Step by step

Serving is quick: guests are served at the hatch or a serving station, so a crowd is looked after quickly. When service ends, we pack down. Around midsummer it stays light in Hammill Park until about 9:15pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:00pm, so summer evening events are normally served in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:50pm, so winter events need lighting around the truck and the queue.

  1. Begin with the date, the place and the numbers.
  2. Expect a suggested menu and a quote.
  3. Closer to the day, we confirm timings and arrangements.
  4. We serve hot food from our truck or trailer at the agreed time.
  5. When you’re done, we pack away.

Booking for a company? Tell us what your finance team needs, and we will explain how it works. We are happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.

Can I do a taco night myself?

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it is more work than it looks. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Read our guide to taco bars.

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.
