Mexican catering near Spitalfields

Mexican catering in Spitalfields, served fresh

You can keep the menu short or make it a feast: a taco menu, or tacos plus loaded nachos, quesadillas and burrito bowls. Margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas can come from our drinks bar, with licensing checked with you. On the menu are fresh salsas and guacamole, loaded nachos and quesadillas, which works well for leaving parties and milestone birthdays.

In Spitalfields, a courtyard, a venue forecourt or a garden with drive access can work well. If the garden is only reached through the house, a spot on the drive or the street may work, with permission. Send us a picture of the access. You can book food, drinks or both, so one caterer can cover more of the day.

Occasions we cater for in Spitalfields

Tacos and burritos go down well with most crowds: it is familiar, filling and easy to eat standing up or sitting down.

Big or small, a truck or trailer works well. Typical bookings include:

  • Charity and school events
  • Big birthday celebrations
  • Festivals, fairs and markets
  • Garden get-togethers

For guests coming by train, Spitalfields has its own station, London Liverpool Street station.

Our caterer checklist

Should I do it myself?

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it is more work than it looks. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Read our guide to taco bars.

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Ask us for a quote and compare.

Organising for someone else?

Events in public spaces, like parks, generally need permission. We will provide the information the landowner or council asks for from us.

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.

Before you choose a spot

No two venues are the same, so we ask about the space before we confirm. In general, we need:

  • A spot away from buildings, windows and neighbours
  • Access wide and high enough to drive in, with gates and soft lawns checked first
  • Agreement from the venue to bring a food truck or trailer on site

In Spitalfields, as everywhere in Greater London, the ULEZ applies and kerb space is limited. Where will the truck or trailer stop? A drive, a courtyard or a suspended bay can all work.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise before you book.

What happens on the day

Here’s how the day usually runs: we arrive and set up, service opens at the agreed time, and we serve your guests fresh until service ends. Planning an evening event in Spitalfields? Sunset is around 8:50pm in late May, 9:20pm at midsummer and 7:05pm in late September. Festoon lights or floodlights help once it gets dark.

  1. You tell us the date, the venue, rough guest numbers and any dietary needs.
  2. We put together a menu around your guests and quote for it.
  3. Before the day, we agree access, the serving spot, power and water.
  4. On the day, we set up and serve from the truck or trailer, or from a taco-bar station.
  5. After service, we clear away and leave the spot tidy.

Getting ready for the day

  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
  • Give us your final numbers and diets

Prices and what affects them

We will give you a clear quote. The main things that affect it are:

  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • How long we’re needed on site
  • The menu you choose

The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, plus any add-ons and the location. Every event gets its own quote.

What we need to know

Good planning starts with a few facts. Please include:

  • The date and time of the event
  • The venue or postcode
  • Your menu ideas
  • A picture of where we’d park

A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: the venue, the timings, food or drinks or both, and the access. When you are ready, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

Diets, allergies and planning

Most events have a mix of diets. To plan for them:

  • Think about cover for guests in wet weather
  • Put guests with severe allergies in touch with us early
  • Let us know if a guest is coeliac
  • Add a dietary question to your RSVP

Food is served from the hatch, order by order, so everything goes out hot.

Loaded nachos make a good sharing starter or as a late snack.

FAQs for Spitalfields

Which station is closest to Spitalfields?

Guests can use London Liverpool Street station, which is right in Spitalfields.

Can you bring your truck or trailer to Finsbury Circus?

It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we’ll send what they need from us.

What do you need at the venue?

Access and level ground matter most: a level spot to park, space for guests to queue and a little room for a serving table. If in doubt, send us a picture of the space and the way in.

What if it rains?

The truck or trailer serves in the rain, though guests need a covered place to eat.

Do you cover Spitalfields?

Yes, we do. Spitalfields is one of the places we cover. Tell us your date and we’ll check availability.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

Yes. Tell us about allergies when you book. UK law requires caterers to provide information on 14 allergens, and we give it for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). For severe allergies, please talk to us first.

Can we have a build-your-own taco bar?

Yes, a taco bar is one of the ways we serve. Tell us about your space and numbers and we’ll suggest the best set-up.

What happens if it rains?

The truck or trailer can serve in the rain, but guests need somewhere covered to eat and drink, such as a marquee, gazebo or nearby building.
