About Mexican catering in E1

With mobile Mexican catering, we bring the kitchen with us: we park our truck or trailer on site and serve hot food from it. You do not need a kitchen at the venue. It works well for family gatherings and christenings and fundraisers and school events, with burritos, quesadillas and a build-your-own taco bar.

On the day, we park the truck or trailer in the agreed spot and set up. Service starts at the time we’ve agreed, so everything runs to your schedule.

  1. Get in touch with the basics: when, where and how many.
  2. We come back with menu ideas and a quote.
  3. Closer to the day, we confirm timings and arrangements.
  4. At the agreed time, service starts from the truck or trailer.
  5. We pack away when service is over.

What it costs in E1

Planning a food truck in E1

E1 covers everything from Shoreditch, Whitechapel and Bishopsgate to 0 small villages and hamlets, and a truck or trailer suits most settings with access and level ground. In towns, plan parking and loading; in villages, tell us about lanes, gates and ground.

Shoreditch: The A1 and A10 run on or near Shoreditch, so the drive in with the truck or trailer is a simple one. A gathering in Artillery Ground would need the park owner’s say-so for any catering vehicle, and that is worth sorting out early. Daylight in Shoreditch runs to about 8:50pm in late May and 7:05pm in late September. Let us know if service will run after dark, and we will talk about lighting.

About the menu

Tacos

Street tacos are small, quick and full of flavour. They come with fresh salsas and toppings, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests.

Quesadillas

Toasted tortillas with melted cheese inside.

Should I do it myself?

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Contact us for a quote to compare.

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it is more work than it looks. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Our taco bar guide explains how.

Planning the serving area

Everything is served from our food truck or trailer, so the spot needs a little planning. These are the things we check:

  • Room for a serving table for the taco bar
  • Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer
  • A route in that’s wide and tall enough, with soft ground checked in advance

Comparing your options

For food that feels relaxed but generous, tacos, burritos and nachos make a strong choice for your event in E1.
