Common questions in Street End

Do you cater in villages like Street End?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Which station is closest to Street End?

Guests can use Chichester station, about 3.2 miles north of Street End.

What about power on site?

Let us know what’s available on site, such as a supply from the venue near where we’ll park, and we will confirm what we need with your quote.

Do you cook on site?

Fillings are slow-cooked in advance, then finished and kept hot on site. The tortillas are warmed on site, and the salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

What does Mexican street food cost?

Every event is quoted individually, based on what you actually need. Tell us your date and numbers and we will reply with a quote.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Yes, and we plan them in from the start. Let us know how many vegetarian and vegan guests to expect, and we will keep their options separate.

How far ahead should we book?

As soon as you have a date. Peak dates go quickly, so get in touch early.

Can you cater in a back garden?

It depends on access. If the truck or trailer cannot reach the garden, a drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission. Tell us about the space and we will advise.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it is more work than it looks. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Our taco bar guide explains how.

Is Mexican street food right for your event?

Some street food is slow to serve one order at a time. Our fillings are ready to go, so orders are quick. Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, along with extras and where your event is. We quote for each event individually.

Why us?

  • A menu built around your guests
  • Quoted for your event
  • A truck or trailer that comes to you
  • Options for vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free guests

How the day works

Once service is over, we pack up and leave our area tidy. We agree set-up and pack-down times with you and your venue. For an evening event in Street End, sunset is about 8:50pm in late May and 9:20pm in late June; after that, the trading area needs lighting from the organiser or the site.

  1. First, we check the dates.
  2. We agree what we’ll serve and where.
  3. Paperwork goes over in good time.
  4. We’re ready to serve as visitors arrive.
  5. We serve, then clear the pitch at the end.

Preparing for the day

  • Tell us when you want service to start
  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve
  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready

Getting a price

How we price Mexican street food

These are the factors that matter most:

  • Food, drinks or both
  • Guest numbers
  • What the venue already provides
  • How long we are needed on site

A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, because it needs no venue kitchen. Contact us for a quote to compare.

What we need to know

To speed things up, tell us:

  • Where the event is
  • What you’d like on the menu
  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • Your date and when you want service to start

Most quotes start with a few simple details: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. Contact us for a quote: just send a quick message through our quote form.
