The process

It is a relaxed, well-organised set-up. Arrival and serving times are agreed beforehand, set up our food truck or trailer, and get on with serving. Daylight in Up Nately runs to about 8:55pm in late May and 7:10pm in late September. Let us know if service will run after dark, and we will talk about lighting.

  1. Send us your date, numbers and venue.
  2. We plan a menu that covers every diet.
  3. We confirm the way in and where we’ll park.
  4. Guests order at the hatch or build their own at the taco bar.
  5. After the last serving, we clear our area.

Should I do it myself?

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

A closer look at the menu

Build-your-own taco bar

A taco bar is relaxed and sociable, and guests with different diets can choose what suits them, with every dish labelled.

Loaded nachos

Tortilla chips piled with cheese, a filling, salsa, guacamole and toppings, made for sharing.

Dietary needs and planning tips

Nearly every event has some special diets. To cater well for them:

  • Give us separate numbers for children
  • Add a dietary question to your RSVP
  • Include at least one vegan filling
  • Put guests with severe allergies in touch with us early

If you’ve chosen a taco bar, the fillings, salsas and toppings go out on a serving table, and guests build their own.

Loaded nachos make a good sharing starter or as a late snack.

Comparing your options

Burgers and pizza are what guests often expect. Mexican street food stands out. Extras, such as more dishes, extra drinks or a longer service, are quoted on request, so you can choose what you need.

Why book with us

What affects the price in Up Nately

  • The number of people

The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Give us your numbers and we will quote.
