How our Mexican bar hire works in Beenham

The margarita is the star of the bar: lime, tequila and orange liqueur, served cold. At big birthday celebrations and fairs and community events, we’ll put together a menu of soft drinks, horchata and aguas frescas.

In a rural spot like Beenham, drinks can be served from our food truck or trailer in a garden, field or by a marquee, as long as we can get in. We’ll check the licensing with you. You’ll know what’s included before booking: menu, timings and any add-ons.

Questions from Beenham

How far is Beenham from central London?

It’s about 46 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St Mary?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

How many guests can you serve?

Our truck and trailer service normally suits events of around 50 to 400 guests. Festivals can be bigger, and smaller parties are quoted case by case. Tell us your numbers.

What happens if it rains?

Rain does not typically stop service from the truck or trailer. Plan cover for guests, such as a marquee or gazebo, and let us know if the ground gets soft after heavy rain.

Can we have a build-your-own taco bar?

Yes, a taco bar is one of our options. Tell us about your space and numbers and we’ll recommend how to serve.

What food and drinks do you offer?

Every menu is agreed with you. Fillings could include chicken tinga, pork carnitas, al pastor-style pork and vegan options like black beans. See our menu for ideas.

What does a Mexican bar cost?

We don’t publish set prices, because every event is different. Tell us your plans for a quote.

Can you do dairy-free food?

Yes, we can. Let us know your dairy-free numbers, and we will plan the menu around them.

What happens on the day

Guests tend to gather around the truck, so we plan a spot with space for people to queue. Rain doesn’t typically stop us serving, but guests will need somewhere covered. At midsummer, it is light in Beenham until about 9:25pm, ideal for drinks outdoors. In late September it is dark around 7:10pm, and in December by about 4:00pm, so evening bars need lighting.

  1. You tell us the date, venue, guest numbers and the drinks you have in mind.
  2. Together we check how alcohol will be licensed at your event.
  3. You get a suggested drinks menu and a quote.
  4. On the day we set up the bar and our bar staff serve your guests.
  5. After service, we clear the bar away.

Getting ready for the day

  • Ask the venue about power and water
  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready
  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

Planning drinks for every guest

To get the most from the bar, it helps to:

  • Make sure there’s water for guests
  • Think about how guests get home
  • Agree bar timings in advance

Planners, venues and businesses

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Tell us what your venue needs and we will work to it.

If you’re planning an event on someone’s behalf, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we’ll work directly with you and the venue. It keeps things simple.
