For a drinks-led event, rail details help, and the nearest station is London Victoria station, about 0.5 miles north-west. Historic buildings near Pimlico often have strict rules for outside caterers, so ask early if that’s your venue.
Wherever your event is in SW1P, SW1V and SW1W, we can bring the truck or trailer to your guests, from busy streets to quiet lanes. Should I do it myself?
If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: see how many tacos per person. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label dishes for guests with allergies.
Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.
Your questions about Mexican bar hire in Pimlico
Is it possible to have you in Pimlico Gardens?
Only if the landowner, often the council, allows it. Ask them first, and we’ll help with the information they need from us.
Which station should guests use for Pimlico?
Guests can use London Victoria station, about 0.5 miles north-west of Pimlico.
When should we book?
Early, particularly for summer Saturdays. Even if it’s short notice, it’s worth asking.
Is the food very hot?
We can keep it mild, with hotter salsas on the side for anyone who wants more heat.
Do we need a licence for the bar?
That depends on your venue. If the venue has no licence, a Temporary Event Notice may be needed. We’ll go through the licensing with you.
Do you clear up afterwards?
Our area is packed away and left tidy. Let us know the venue’s rules on waste and we’ll talk it through.
Do you have gluten-free options?
Yes, we offer gluten-free options, made with corn tortillas. Tell us about any coeliac guests before the event so we can talk through how their food is prepared.
Do you serve responsibly?
Always. No alcohol is served to under-18s, and anyone who has had too much won’t be served more.
Drinks planning tips
To get the most from the bar, it helps to:
- Ask guests about allergies
- Tell us when the bar should open and close
- Allow time for a Temporary Event Notice if one is needed
- Plan alcohol-free drinks for drivers
Responsible serving comes first: under-18s aren’t served alcohol, and nor is anyone who has had too much.
Margaritas for the drinks reception, licensing permitting.
What affects the price in Pimlico
Every event is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:
- The number of people
- Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
- Plates, napkins and cutlery
- Travel, parking and access
There’s no one-size-fits-all price for Mexican bar hire. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Contact us for a quote.
Getting an accurate quote
When you contact us, it helps to tell us:
- The date and rough timings
- Gate widths, slopes and the ground
- Any dietary needs and allergies
- Expected numbers
Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many guests, along with any dietary needs, and you will get menu ideas and a price. Just send us your details through our quote form.
How it works
The truck or trailer tends to draw a crowd, so we plan a spot with space for people to queue. We can serve in the rain, but guests will need somewhere covered. At midsummer, it is light in Pimlico until about 9:20pm, ideal for drinks outdoors. In late September it’s dark around 7:05pm, and in December by about 3:55pm, so evening bars need lighting.
- First, we check your date.
- You get a suggested drinks list.
- We confirm power, water and the bar spot.
- The bar opens at the agreed time.
- When the bar shuts, we clear away.
How to prepare
- Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
- Measure any gates or arches on the way in
- Arrange somewhere covered for guests to eat
How to get a price
Still deciding on the menu? No problem: tell us about the occasion and the guests, and we’ll make suggestions. To start, send a quick message through our quote form.
Planning help
Organising for someone else?
Events in public spaces, like parks, usually need permission. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.
For larger events, we plan serving points around your timings, so guests are looked after quickly. Tell us how long you have for food and drinks.

What’s on the menu
Mexican beer
Mexican beer is light and refreshing.
Horchata
A sweet, creamy rice drink with cinnamon, served cold.
What we need at the venue
We’ll agree the spot with you before the day. A good spot ticks these boxes:
- Permission from the venue or landowner
- A spot away from neighbours’ windows if the bar runs late
- A clear area in front of the bar
In Pimlico, as everywhere in Greater London, the ULEZ applies and kerb space is limited. Where will the truck or trailer stop? A drive, a courtyard or a suspended bay can all work.
Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly.
