Mexican bar hire for Westham events

Organising for someone else?

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We’ll provide the information the landowner or council asks for from us.

If you’re planning an event on someone’s behalf, whether you’re a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we’ll work directly with you and the venue. It saves passing messages back and forth.

About our Mexican bar hire in Westham

Our Mexican drinks bar serves margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas, with bar staff to serve your guests. You can book it alone or with our Mexican catering. At winter celebrations and wedding receptions and evening parties, we will put together a menu of horchata, margaritas and alcohol-free drinks.

Near Westham, a drinks bar suits a garden, barn or field party. Tell us about the ground, gates, power and water. We prepare everything fresh for your event and serve it straight from our truck or trailer, so guests get it at its best.

How it compares

Wine and fizz are the usual choices. A Mexican bar feels relaxed and different. Pricing depends on the event. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Contact us for a quote.

Westham questions

Do you cater at coastal events near Westham?

Yes, with permission for the spot and firm ground for the truck or trailer. Wind, sand and seafront permissions are the main things to plan on the coast.

Could you serve our guests after a service at St Mary's Church?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

Do you cook on site?

Food is cooked to order in our truck or trailer, or served from a build-your-own taco bar. Slow-cooked fillings are prepared in advance and kept hot on site.

Can you keep it mild?

The food can be kept mild, with hotter salsas on the side for anyone who wants more heat.

Can you do gluten-free food?

Yes, we offer gluten-free options, made with corn tortillas. Tell us about any coeliac guests before the event so we can explain how we prepare their food. See are corn tortillas gluten-free?

Do you need power and water?

It depends on the event and the set-up, and we agree power and water with you before the day. Let us know whether there’s a supply near where we’ll park.

When should we book?

The sooner the better. Popular dates go first, so it pays to ask early.

Do we need a licence for the bar?

You will need either the venue’s licence or a Temporary Event Notice. We’ll talk licensing through with you. See GOV.UK for Temporary Event Notices.

How the day works

Expect a friendly, organised team. Arrival and serving times are agreed beforehand, get the serving area ready, and get on with serving. Winter receptions in Westham are dark by about 3:55pm in December, so an outdoor bar needs lighting from the start. At midsummer, by contrast, sunset is around 9:15pm.

  1. We check availability.
  2. You get a suggested drinks list.
  3. We confirm power, water and the bar spot.
  4. We set up and serve on cue.
  5. When the bar shuts, we clear away.

Preparing for the day

  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers
  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain

Getting a price

We need only a few details to quote: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. To send them, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

Prices and what affects them

We will give you a clear quote. What affects it most:

  • Timings and hours
  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • What the venue already provides

Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, along with extras and where your event is. Every event gets its own quote.

Getting an accurate quote

Good planning starts with a few facts. Please include:

  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • The date and time of the event
  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: the venue, the timings, food or drinks or both, and the access. To send your details, use our quote form.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, with allergen information for every dish.

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

Tips for a smooth bar

To get the most from the bar, it helps to:

  • Give the council notice in good time for a Temporary Event Notice
  • Include aguas frescas for non-drinkers
  • Plan transport home for guests
  • Find out if you need a Temporary Event Notice

If timings change, tell us and we’ll adjust.

Aguas frescas for children and non-drinkers.

Drinks receptions around Westham

Westham is about 3 miles north-east of Eastbourne, in East Sussex. Whether your event is in the middle of Westham or on the outskirts, we offer the same service: fresh service from our food truck or trailer, every diet planned for and a clear quote. Westham is one of 289 places in East Sussex where we can bring Mexican bar hire. We cater right across the region, from Westham to Brighton (about 20 miles away).

For a drinks-led event, rail details help, and Pevensey & Westham station is in Westham itself. If you are looking at a historic venue around Westham, check its rules on outside bars and vehicles early. The South Downs National Park is within about 8 miles of Westham, a lovely setting for drinks outdoors. Ask your venue about vehicle access for the truck or trailer. The coast is within about 4 miles, close enough for drinks by the sea. Seafront spots normally need permission, especially for alcohol, and the truck or trailer needs firm ground.

Anywhere in BN24, we can bring the truck or trailer to your guests, from busy streets to quiet lanes. That could mean an event at a home with a drive on High Street, Linkway and Rattle Road. For events just outside Westham, we cover Jenkins' Green (1 mile north-west), Pevensey (1 mile east), Langney (1 mile south), Pevensey Bay (2 miles east) and Wartling (3 miles north-east). Larger places within reach include Eastbourne (3 miles south-west), Hastings (11 miles east), Bexhill-on-Sea (7 miles east), Seaford (10 miles west), Lewes (14 miles west) and Hailsham (4 miles north-west).

A little further out are Pevensey Castle (0.6 miles east) and Eastbourne District General Hospital (3.1 miles south-west). Green spaces nearby include Combe Hill.

  • Nearby schools include Bishop Bell School (1.4 miles south)
  • Pubs nearby include The Heron pub (within half a mile east)

Space, access and the venue

If a space is not suitable, we will tell you, and suggest an alternative. The main points are:

  • Firm, level ground where we can set up
  • Space for guests to queue at the bar
  • The right licence for alcohol: the venue’s licence or a Temporary Event Notice

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise before you book.
