Is Mexican bar hire right for your event?

A self-service drinks table is simple but can run dry or go warm. Bar staff keep drinks flowing and cold. There’s no one-size-fits-all price for Mexican bar hire. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Contact us for a quote.

The process

The truck or trailer needs a level, firm spot with access to drive in, with power and water arrangements agreed beforehand. A picture of the space helps. At midsummer, it’s light in Winsor until about 9:25pm, so evening drinks can be served in daylight. By late September, sunset is about 7:10pm, and in December it’s dark by about 4:00pm, so plan lighting around the bar.

  1. Tell us your date, venue and numbers.
  2. We talk through licensing with you.
  3. We agree a drinks menu.
  4. Our bar staff serve your guests at the agreed times.
  5. We pack down when the bar closes.

How to prepare

  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day
  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
  • Let us know who to talk to on the day

Winsor: your questions answered

What’s the nearest station to Winsor for guests?

Guests can use Ashurst New Forest station, about 2.7 miles south-east of Winsor.

Do you come to events in the New Forest National Park?

We do, where the venue allows a catering vehicle. Lanes can be narrow and ground soft, so tell us how we’d get in.

How soon do we need to book?

Early, particularly for summer Saturdays. Ask about your date even if it’s soon.

What do you serve?

We agree a sample menu with each client. Fillings might include slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga, beef birria and vegan options such as spiced mushrooms or black beans. Our sample menu has more ideas.

Do you serve responsibly?

Responsible serving comes first: under-18s get alcohol-free drinks only, with water and alcohol-free choices on hand.

Can we have the bar on its own?

Yes, though it pairs well with tacos. Ask about adding tacos and burritos.

How spicy is the food?

That’s your choice: we can keep it mild and put the hotter salsas on the side. Read more about how spicy Mexican food is.

Do you bring staff to serve the drinks?

Yes, our bar staff serve your guests. Responsible serving comes first.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it is more work than it looks. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
  • Mexican drinks bar: margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas
