Mexican party catering near Cowes

Should I do it myself?

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

Some hosts like to do it themselves. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

Mexican party catering for your party in Cowes

You get to be a guest at your own party: no shopping, no prep and no hours in the kitchen. We take care of the food. Popular choices include burritos, quesadillas and loaded nachos, and it is a good fit for anniversary celebrations and birthday parties.

Birthdays and summer parties in Cowes often happen at home or in a local hall. A food truck can work at either, given drive access and a level spot. We serve from the hatch of our food truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan service so the queue keeps moving.

Planners, venues and businesses

If you are organising for someone else, whether you’re a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we’re happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It keeps things simple.

For larger events, we plan serving points around your timings, so guests are looked after quickly. Let us know how long the break is.

How it works

When service finishes, we pack down and clear our own area. We agree set-up and pack-down times with you and your venue. For a winter party in Cowes, it’s dark by about 4:00pm in December, so think about how guests will see their way to the truck. At midsummer, sunset is about 9:20pm.

  1. Tell us when and where, and how many.
  2. You get a menu and a quote.
  3. We check access and arrive before your guests.
  4. Food is served from the hatch or the taco bar.
  5. We pack down after service.

Preparing for the day

  • Ask the venue about power and water
  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain
  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park

Getting a price

Not sure what you need yet? That is fine: tell us about the occasion and the guests, and we will suggest a menu. When you are ready, tell us about it on our contact page.

Questions from Cowes

We’re having a ceremony at St. Faith's Church: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. We’d serve at the reception venue rather than at the church itself. Send us the reception address.

Could you come to a seaside event near Cowes?

We can, given firm ground and the landowner’s permission. Beaches and promenades generally need the council’s agreement, so check that first.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

We plan allergen-aware menus, including for nut allergies, and give allergen information for every dish. We plan carefully and keep options separate, though we cannot promise a dish is allergen-free. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.

Are plates and napkins included?

We confirm that with your quote. Let us know what the venue supplies and we’ll talk it through.

Do you cover Cowes?

We do. Cowes is one of the places we cover. Send us your date to check availability.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We pack down and tidy our own area after service. For anything beyond that, such as guests’ tables, ask us.

Can you keep it mild?

It’s up to you: we can keep it mild and put the hotter salsas on the side. Read more about how spicy Mexican food is.

Which areas do you serve?

We cover London and the South East, the Isle of Wight included. Find your area.

Diets, allergies and planning

We take diets and allergies seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Plan a vegan filling alongside the others
  • Count adults and children separately
  • Arrange a gazebo in case of rain
  • Add a diet question to the invitation

When service is finished, we pack down quietly, leaving you to carry on celebrating.

Local streets include Church Road, Market Hill and High Street; for a party at home on any of them, tell us where the truck or trailer can park. Remote venues take a little more planning, so contact us in good time about access, ground and power.

How to compare caterers

Planning the serving area

Every venue is different, so we ask about the space when you contact us. Generally, we look for:

  • A spot away from buildings, windows and neighbours
  • Room for a queue in front of the serving hatch
  • Permission from the venue or landowner

Out-of-the-way places like Cowes take a little more planning, so let us know about tracks, gates and power in good time.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise before you book.
