Mexican party catering in Holywell, served fresh

We plan the menu together, with fillings such as slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga or beef birria, and vegan options like spiced mushrooms or black beans. We serve loaded nachos, tacos and guacamole and salsas, and it suits retirement celebrations and baby celebrations.

Around Holywell, a garden and a gazebo is often all you need. A taco truck on the drive fits right in. Everything is prepared fresh for your party and served from our truck or trailer, so guests get it at its best.

Can I do a taco night myself?

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Our taco bar guide explains how.

Working with your venue

Organising a club, school or community event in Holywell? Service from a truck or trailer is quick, even for a crowd, and the menu can suit most diets. Give us the details and we will suggest a plan.

For repeat events, such as annual staff parties or seasonal fairs, let us know your dates early, so we can plan ahead.

Prices and what affects them

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, because of:

  • How many staff you need
  • The length of service
  • The menu you choose
  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food

If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we will suggest a menu that fits. A simple menu can still feel generous.

What to tell us

These details help us quote quickly:

  • What you’d like on the menu
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • The address or venue name
  • What power and water the site has

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: the venue, the timings, food or drinks or both, and the access. When you’re ready, tell us about it on our contact page.

Planning the serving area

We will agree the spot with you before the day. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

  • A quick photo of the access helps us plan
  • A spot away from buildings, windows and neighbours
  • A route in that is wide and tall enough, with soft ground checked in advance

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise.

Questions from Holywell

Could you serve our guests after a service at St John the Evangelist?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

Can you bring a truck or trailer to venues in the South Downs National Park?

We do, where the venue allows a catering vehicle. Lanes can be narrow and ground soft, so tell us how we’d get in.

Do you cater in Holywell?

Yes. We cater across London and the South East, including Holywell and the rest of East Sussex. To check your date, fill in our quote form.

How much space do you need?

Access and level ground matter most: a level spot to park, space for guests to queue and a little room for a serving table. Send us a picture and tell us about gates, slopes and soft ground.

Can you cater in a back garden?

It depends on access. If the truck or trailer cannot reach the garden, a drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission. Send us a picture and we will talk it through.

What if the weather’s bad?

We can serve from the hatch in the rain. Plan cover for guests, such as a marquee or gazebo, and let us know if the ground gets soft after heavy rain.

What do you serve?

Every menu is agreed with you. Fillings could include slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga, beef birria and vegan options such as spiced mushrooms or black beans. Our sample menu has more ideas.

Can we have a build-your-own taco bar?

We can. We can set up a build-your-own taco bar, served from the truck or a serving table, with fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings.

Step by step

We take care of everything you’ve booked, from set-up to service, so you can spend time with your guests. Sunset in Holywell ranges from about 9:15pm at midsummer to about 3:55pm in December, so autumn and winter parties need more thought about lighting.

  1. Send us your date, where the party is, numbers and dietary needs.
  2. We put a menu together and quote for it.
  3. We check the space and access for the truck or trailer.
  4. We set up and serve tacos and more while your guests enjoy the party.
  5. After serving, we tidy up and leave you to celebrate.

How to prepare

  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day
  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site

How to get a price

We need only a few details to quote: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. Contact us for a quote: just tell us about it on our contact page.

Dietary needs and planning tips

With a little notice, most diets are easy. We suggest:

  • Warn the neighbours about the truck
  • Put severe allergies to us in writing
  • Give separate numbers for children
  • Make sure there’s a vegan option

Rain does not stop the hatch, though guests will want cover to eat under.

Quesadillas for younger guests.

Comparing your options

Unlike a barbecue, there’s no waiting for the next batch, and there is no host stuck at the grill. The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

Why us?

  • Food and drinks from one caterer, if you want both
  • A plan agreed before the day
  • Fast service, even with a queue
  • A quote that sets out what’s included

For guests coming by train, Eastbourne station is about 1.2 miles away. Once the service at a church like St John the Evangelist is over, the party can move somewhere with space for the truck and a queue. The South Downs National Park is within about 7 miles of Holywell, so a garden party here may come with a lovely view. Country lanes can be narrow, so tell us about the route in. Near the coast, within about 2 miles, a beach-side party is tempting, but seafront spots need permission and firm ground for the truck or trailer.
