Mexican party catering near Meads

Mexican party catering in Meads, served fresh

Mexican street food is made for relaxed parties: easy to eat with one hand, so guests can keep chatting and there is no need for a seating plan. Popular choices include a build-your-own taco bar, guacamole and salsas and loaded nachos, which works well for retirement celebrations and garden parties.

Parties around Meads are often relaxed, garden-and-gazebo affairs. A taco truck on the drive fits right in, with power and water agreed beforehand. Guests are served from our truck or trailer, or from a serving table nearby, and we plan service so the queue keeps moving.

Meads questions

How far is Meads from central London?

It’s about 54 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Is it possible to have you in Gildrege Park?

Only with permission from whoever runs the park, often the council. Ask them first, and we will help with the information they need from us.

Do you have options for kids?

Of course. Mild dishes, quesadillas and nachos can be part of the menu. Tell us how many children are coming.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Yes. Vegetarian and vegan fillings, such as spiced mushrooms or black beans, can be part of the menu.

What does Mexican party catering cost?

It depends on guest numbers, the menu, the length of service and the location. Send us the details for a quote.

Can you come to a private house?

Yes, if the truck or trailer can get in and park on level, firm ground. Send us a picture of the access and the space, and we will tell you honestly whether it works.

Can you keep it mild?

It’s up to you: we can keep it mild and put the hotter salsas on the side.

Can you do dairy-free food?

Yes, on request. Tell us how many guests need dairy-free food, and we’ll include them in the plan.

The menu, item by item

Quesadillas

Crisp quesadillas, cut into wedges.

Salsas and guacamole

What happens on the day

Service is quick and friendly: guests are served at the hatch or a serving station, so a crowd is looked after quickly. When service ends, we pack down. At midsummer, it is light in Meads until about 9:15pm, which gives a garden party a long evening. By late September sunset is around 7:00pm, so plan festoon lights for later parties.

  1. First, we check the date and the space.
  2. You pick the fillings and extras.
  3. Power, water and access are agreed in advance.
  4. Service starts at the agreed time.
  5. We tidy up and leave you to enjoy the party.

Preparing for the day

  • Give us a contact for the day
  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely
  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer

How to get a price

Most quotes start with a few simple details: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. To send them, tell us about it on our contact page.

Occasions we cater for in Meads

It works for almost any celebration, from a first birthday to a ruby wedding.

A truck or trailer suits almost any gathering. People in Meads can book us for events such as:

  • Engagement and anniversary parties
  • Garden get-togethers
  • Baby celebrations
  • Retirement celebrations

Parks such as Gildrege Park normally need permission for vehicles and catering, so a garden or hired venue is often easier.

Before you book anyone

  • Where to see their hygiene rating
  • Allergen information for each dish
  • Staff numbers and hours
  • Whether plates, napkins and cutlery are included

How to compare caterers

What Mexican party catering costs

The price comes down to a few factors:

  • Whether you need disposables
  • Food, drinks or both
  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • Your choice of food and drinks

When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Our quote sets out what’s included.

What we need to know

The more we know about your party, the better we can plan. Try to include:

  • Your menu ideas
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • The venue or postcode
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children

A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: venue, timings, menu ideas and access. To send your details, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

Mexican party catering or something else?

Ordering takeaway is easy but forgettable. A food truck at your party is something guests remember. The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, along with extras and where your event is. Every event gets its own quote.

Why us?

  • A truck or trailer that comes to you
  • We cover Meads and the whole of East Sussex
  • A quote that sets out what’s included
  • Options for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests

See our pricing or our guide to catering costs.

Before you choose a spot

Before the day, we will agree where we park and serve. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • Some distance from houses and neighbours
  • Power and water, which we confirm with you for each booking
  • Room for a queue in front of the serving hatch

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly before booking.

What we offer

  • Quesadillas
  • Loaded nachos
  • Guacamole and chips
  • Tacos
  • Taco bar

DIY taco night versus a caterer

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: see how many tacos per person. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
