For visitors coming by rail, Brighton and Hove has its own station, Aldrington station. Running a fête for a church like Holy Cross Church? A Mexican street-food truck draws people in. With the sea within about 3 miles, we plan for wind at coastal events, on firm ground rather than sand.

Comparing your options

Food that sits in a hot cabinet is not much to look at. Our food is made to order. Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, as there’s no kitchen to hire. Contact us for a quote to compare.

Can I do a taco night myself?

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Our taco bar guide explains how.

Brighton and Hove: your questions answered

Could you serve in Hove Park?

It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we will send what they need from us.

Can you serve near the sea around Brighton and Hove?

Yes, with permission for the spot and firm ground for the truck or trailer. Wind, sand and seafront permissions are the main things to plan on the coast.

When should we book?

As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Ask about your date even if it is soon.

Do you do parties at home?

It depends on access. If the truck or trailer cannot reach the garden, a drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission. Send us a picture and we will talk it through.

Is there a vegan option at your stall?

Yes. Vegan fillings such as spiced mushrooms or black beans are on the menu.

Who clears up?

We pack down and leave our area tidy. Let us know the venue’s rules on waste and we’ll confirm the arrangements with your quote.

Do you have dairy-free options?

Yes, we can. Let us know your dairy-free numbers, and we will include them in the plan.

Where do you cater?

London and the South East: Greater London, Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and Oxfordshire.

Prices and what affects them

These are the factors that matter most:

  • How many guests we’re serving
  • Food, drinks or both
  • Serving staff
  • How long we are needed on site

Access, parking and the distance to your venue can affect the price, so tell us about the venue when you ask for a quote. Your quote confirms the full price.

Details that help

For a quote, it helps to have:

  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • Your menu ideas
  • A picture of where we’d park

Send us the date, your venue or BN3 postcode and guest numbers, plus any dietary needs, and you will get menu ideas and a price. Just send a quick message through our quote form.

Catering for every guest

We cater for vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free guests. To get it right:

  • Plan access routes for trader vehicles
  • Check allergen information is on display
  • Tell traders about power and water before the day
  • Plan seating near the food area

On the day, we work with your site team.

Catering for crew and hospitality areas.

What happens on the day

It is a relaxed, well-organised set-up. Arrival and serving times are agreed beforehand, set up our truck or trailer, and serve without fuss. A December market in Brighton and Hove loses the light at about 3:55pm, so site lighting matters for traders and visitors alike. At midsummer, daylight lasts until roughly 9:20pm.

  1. You send us the event, the dates and the pitch details.
  2. You get our stall menu, what we need at the pitch and the paperwork you request.
  3. We set up the truck or trailer on the pitch at the agreed time.
  4. Tacos, burritos and more are served to order while the event is open.
  5. At the close, we clear our pitch.

How to prepare

  • Share the running order, including any speeches
  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
