What Mexican street food costs

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, depending on:

  • The number of people
  • Serving staff
  • Parking and the route in
  • The length of service

The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, along with extras and where your event is. Every event gets its own quote.

Fairs, fêtes and events in Kemptown

Kemptown is about 1 mile south-east of Brighton, in Brighton and Hove. From the centre of Kemptown to the outskirts, we offer the same service: fresh service from our truck or trailer, every diet planned for and a clear quote. We cover all 30 towns and villages in Brighton and Hove, from the larger towns to small villages.

If you are organising a summer fair or fundraiser for a school such as St Mary's Hall, a taco truck can be a crowd-pleaser. Organisers of a summer fête for a church such as St George's Church could add tacos and burritos alongside the bric-a-brac. Organisers near the South Downs National Park, within about 7 miles of Kemptown, may face extra conditions on traffic, ground protection and waste. We work to whatever the site sets. Seafront festivals and markets, with the coast within about a mile of Kemptown, need the organiser’s permission for traders. Send us the pitch details and we will check access.

We cover events in every part of BN2 and the streets around it. Whether your event is on Abbey Road, Manor Road and Eastern Road or a nearby road, we can bring Mexican street food there, given access. Working with your venue

Organising a club, school or community event in Kemptown? A truck or trailer serves a crowd quickly, with options for most diets. Tell us about the event and we’ll suggest a menu.

Events in public spaces, like parks, typically need permission. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.

Common questions in Kemptown

Do you come to school fairs around Kemptown?

We can, as long as the school agrees and the truck or trailer can reach the pitch. Tell us the date, the site and roughly how many visitors you expect.

Could you serve in Queen's Park?

Only if the landowner, often the council, allows it. Check with them, and we will provide what they ask for from us.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes. We can include vegetarian and vegan fillings like black beans or spiced mushrooms, served alongside the meat options.

Do you need power and water?

It depends on the event and the set-up, and we agree power and water with you before the day. Let us know whether there’s a supply near where we will park.

What’s on the menu?

Every menu is agreed with you. Fillings could include slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga, beef birria and vegan options such as spiced mushrooms or black beans. See our menu for ideas.

Do you run a bar at festivals?

That depends on licensing. Tell us whether the event has a premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice.

Do you have dairy-free options?

We can. We offer dairy-free options.

Do you provide drinks?

Yes, we do. Our drinks bar can be booked on its own or with food, with alcohol-free options such as aguas frescas. We’ll check the licensing for alcohol with you.

The process

On the day, we position the truck or trailer and get the serving area ready. Service starts at the time we’ve agreed, so everything runs to your schedule. Christmas markets in Kemptown trade in the dark from about 3:55pm, so a lit pitch helps visitors find the truck. At midsummer, daylight lasts until roughly 9:15pm.

  1. Organisers send us the event details, dates and pitch information.
  2. You get our stall menu, what we need at the pitch and the paperwork you request.
  3. We arrive at the agreed time and set up on our pitch.
  4. Tacos, burritos and more are served to order while the event is open.
  5. We pack away and leave the pitch tidy.

Getting ready for the day

  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
  • Ask the venue about power and water
