Mexican street food in Hollywater, from our truck or trailer

We trade at festivals, fairs, markets, school fairs and community events. At community events and open days and fundraisers and fêtes, we’ll put together a menu of burrito bowls, vegan tacos and loaded nachos for your guests.

Near Hollywater, events may be far from shops and cafés, so a hot-food truck is a big help. We serve from the hatch of our truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan service so the queue keeps moving.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

Some hosts like to do it themselves. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the serving.

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, with allergen information for every dish.

The process

When we arrive, we position the truck or trailer and get the serving area ready. We are ready to serve at the agreed time, planned around your event. A December market in Hollywater loses the light at about 4:00pm, so a lit pitch helps visitors find the truck. At midsummer, daylight lasts until roughly 9:20pm.

  1. We check your dates.
  2. We agree what we’ll serve and where.
  3. Paperwork goes over in good time.
  4. We are ready to serve as visitors arrive.
  5. We serve, then clear the pitch at the end.

Planning help

What affects the price in Hollywater

Pricing is straightforward once we know the basics:

  • How long we are needed on site
  • The menu you choose
  • Food, drinks or both
  • What the venue already provides

If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we’ll suggest a menu that fits. Even a simple menu can feel generous.

What we need to know

You do not need every detail fixed to get a quote, but these help:

  • What you’d like on the menu
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children

Every event is quoted individually, based on what you need. For a quote, use our quote form.

How it compares

Some street food is slow to serve one order at a time. With fillings prepared ahead, service is fast. Your choice of food and drinks affects the price, so share your ideas with us. We will suggest options to suit your budget.

Why us?

  • Book food, drinks or both
  • Quoted for your event
  • Menus for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests

Diets, allergies and planning

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Try these:

  • Put picnic tables near the traders
  • Book crew catering in advance
  • Check traders’ packaging and waste plans
  • Plan for vegan and gluten-free visitors

We set up at the agreed time, following your trader pack.

Aguas frescas and soft drinks at the stall.

Before you choose a spot

The route in matters as much as the spot itself. We need:

  • Your arrangements for power, water and waste
  • Your trader pack and site rules
  • Flat, firm ground

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise before you book.
