Ifieldwood questions

Do you come to events in the Surrey Hills National Landscape?

Yes, though some venues in protected landscapes have extra rules; ask your venue. We will follow the site rules.

Will you travel to a small place like Ifieldwood?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

What about power on site?

Let us know what’s available on site, such as a supply from the venue near where we’ll park, and we’ll confirm the arrangements with your quote.

Can you do dairy-free food?

Yes, we can. Tell us how many guests need dairy-free food, and we’ll include them in the plan.

Do you provide drinks?

Yes, we run a Mexican drinks bar, serving margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas such as hibiscus and horchata, and soft drinks. Alcohol at an event may need a licence, such as a premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice, so we’ll go through the licensing with you.

Do you cover Ifieldwood?

Yes. We cater across London and the South East, including Ifieldwood. To check your date, tell us about it on our contact page.

Can you plan for allergies?

Yes, and it helps to hear about allergies when you book. Under UK rules, caterers must give information on 14 allergens, and we do that for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). For severe allergies, please talk to us first.

Do you do a taco bar?

Yes, a taco bar is one of the ways we serve. Tell us about your space and numbers and we’ll recommend how to serve.

Catering for every guest

We take diets and allergies seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Book crew catering in advance
  • Send traders one clear trader pack
  • Provide seating near the food
  • Tell traders about power and water before the day

On the day, we work with your site team.

What affects the price in Ifieldwood

We quote for your event, which reflects:

  • Distance and access to the venue
  • Timings and hours
  • The menu you choose
  • Serving staff

If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we’ll suggest a menu to match. A simple menu can still feel generous.

Getting an accurate quote

We can quote more accurately with a few details. Here’s what to include:

  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • How we drive in and where we can park

Most quotes start with a few simple details: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. To send them, send us your details through our quote form.

Mexican street food or something else?

Burger and hot dog stalls are familiar but similar. A Mexican trader adds variety to a food line-up. A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, because it needs no venue kitchen. Ask us for a quote.

Why us?

  • Menus for vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free guests
  • A menu built around your guests
  • Allergen information for everything we serve
  • Tacos, burritos and a drinks bar

How it works

Your timings come first. If speeches run late or the photos take longer, tell us and we’ll adjust the start of service where we can. For an evening event in Ifieldwood, sunset is about 8:50pm in late May and 9:20pm in late June; beyond that, ask the organiser how the site will be lit.

  1. Organisers send us the event details, dates and pitch information.
  2. You get our stall menu, what we need at the pitch and the paperwork you request.
  3. We arrive at the agreed time and set up on our pitch.
  4. We cook to order and serve through the agreed trading hours.
  5. At the close, we clear our pitch.

Preparing for the day

  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain
  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
  • Share the running order, including any speeches

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, with allergen information for every dish.

Space, access and the venue

The route in matters as much as the spot itself. We look for:

  • A pitch big enough for the truck or trailer and a queue
  • A pitch with space around it, away from tents and structures
  • Firm, level ground or hardstanding

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise before you book.
