Planners, venues and businesses

For repeat events, such as annual staff parties or seasonal fairs, let us know your dates early, so we can check the date.

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.

Can I do a taco night myself?

Weighing up a DIY taco night against a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Contact us for a quote to compare.

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles allergen information for you.

What Mexican street food costs

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • Food, drinks or both
  • Timings and hours

Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, because it needs no venue kitchen. Ask us for a quote.

Details that help

Here’s what makes a quick, accurate quote possible:

  • The date and rough timings
  • A picture of where we’d park
  • Expected numbers
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers

Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many guests, along with any dietary needs, and you will get menu ideas and a price. To get started, tell us about it on our contact page.

Before you choose a spot

Access is the first thing to check for a truck or trailer. We need:

  • Room for the truck or trailer and customers
  • Flat, firm ground
  • Details of power, water and waste arrangements

In Seven Sisters, as everywhere in Greater London, the ULEZ applies and kerb space is limited. Where will the truck or trailer stop? A drive, a courtyard or a suspended bay can all work.

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.

How it works

Expect a friendly, organised team. Arrival and serving times are agreed beforehand, set up our truck or trailer, and serve without fuss. Christmas markets in Seven Sisters trade in the dark from about 3:55pm, so a lit pitch helps visitors find the truck. At midsummer, daylight lasts until roughly 9:20pm.

  1. We check your dates.
  2. We agree what we’ll serve and where.
  3. We send the paperwork your event asks for.
  4. We’re ready to serve as visitors arrive.
  5. We trade, then pack down.

Before we arrive

  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Let us know the timings for the day
  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers

Burger and hot dog stalls are familiar but similar. A Mexican trader adds variety to a food line-up. Larger events can cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Give us your numbers and we will quote.
