Mexican catering in CT21: what to expect

We slow-cook the fillings ahead and finish them on site, and the salsas and guacamole are freshly made. We warm the tortillas as each order goes out. It suits markets and community events and staff parties and office lunches, with tacos, loaded nachos and a build-your-own taco bar.

Once service is over, we pack up and leave our area tidy. Set-up and pack-down times are agreed with you and the venue.

  1. It begins with the basics: your date, venue, guest numbers and dietary needs.
  2. We suggest a sample menu and send a quote for your event.
  3. Before the day, we agree access, the serving spot, power and water.
  4. We arrive, set up and cook to order, with salsas and guacamole made fresh.
  5. After service, we clear away and leave the spot tidy.

Catering events across CT21

Across CT21, we cater in 3 towns and 10 villages and hamlets, so the setting can be anything from Folkestone, Hythe and Dymchurch to a quiet hamlet: a level, firm spot, a way in and agreed timings. 14 of the places we cover in CT21 are within about 6 miles of the sea, so we often plan around the wind at coastal events.

Hythe: Guests arriving by train will find that the nearest station is Sandling station, about 1.4 miles north-west. Guests leaving a church like Church of St Michael and All Angels after a christening could walk over to a nearby garden where the tacos are ready. A December event in Hythe will be in the dark from about 3:50pm, so a well-lit spot for the queue makes a big difference. In late June, by contrast, daylight lasts until about 9:15pm.

Organising for someone else?

Events in public spaces, like parks, usually need permission. We will provide the information the landowner or council asks for from us.

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.

What’s on the menu

Burritos and burrito bowls

A burrito is a meal in one. Bowls suit guests who want to skip the tortilla.

Salsas and guacamole

Every taco needs salsa and guacamole, and guests add as much as they like.

What we need at the venue

We serve from a truck or trailer, so where we park matters. Here’s what we look for:

  • A sensible distance from buildings and neighbours
  • Clear vehicle access: gate widths, height limits and the ground checked before the day
  • A spot for a taco-bar serving table

How we price Mexican catering

The price comes down to a few factors:

  • The menu you choose
  • The length of service
  • The number of people
  • How many staff you need

Getting an accurate quote

You do not need everything decided to ask for a quote, but it helps to know:

  • Your menu ideas
  • What power and water the site has
  • The date and time of the event
  • Where the event is

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: the venue, the timings, food or drinks or both, and the access. When you are ready, send us your details through our quote form.

Who books Mexican catering?

There is no kitchen needed at the venue, so gardens, fields and outdoor venues are all possible.

If you’re planning any of these, we can help:

  • Leaving parties
  • Anniversaries and engagements
  • Weddings, day or evening
  • Staff parties and office lunches
