Taco bar hire in Ash, from our truck or trailer

Truck and trailer bookings usually suit around 50 to 400 guests, while smaller parties are quoted case by case. Share your headcount and we will size the taco bar to match. At birthday celebrations and barn and marquee parties, we will put together a menu of slow-cooked fillings kept hot, pickled onions and toppings and burrito bowls and more.

For a place the size of Ash, a garden or a hall nearby can suit a taco bar. Our staff set up the station and guests build their own tacos. Let us know about the drive and parking. We prepare everything fresh for your event and serve it straight from our food truck or trailer, so guests get it at its best.

FAQs for Ash

We are having a ceremony at Church of St Nicholas: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

What’s the nearest station to Ash for guests?

Guests can use Sandwich station, about 2.8 miles east of Ash.

Is there a minimum number of guests?

That depends on the menu and the service time, but around 50 to 400 guests is the usual range. For anything outside that, ask us.

How spicy is the food?

The food can be kept mild, and hotter salsas go on the side for guests who like heat.

Do you have vegan options?

Of course. We can include vegetarian and vegan fillings like black beans or spiced mushrooms, served alongside the meat options.

How does taco bar hire work?

Each guest builds tacos from the fillings, salsas and toppings laid out. We run the bar from set-up to pack-down.

Is the food suitable for children?

Of course. We can keep dishes mild, and simple options such as quesadillas or nachos can be part of the menu. Include children in your numbers.

Do you have gluten-free options?

Yes, with corn tortillas. Corn tortillas are naturally gluten-free, but some fillings, sauces and toppings may not be, so we check every dish and give allergen information.

Space, access and the venue

No two venues are the same, so we ask about the space when you get in touch. Generally, we look for:

  • Room nearby to park and unload our vehicle
  • A sheltered spot if we’re serving outside
  • A clear route from the vehicle to the serving spot

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly.

What we offer

  • Pickled onions and toppings
  • Two to four fillings
  • Salsas and guacamole
  • Vegan fillings
  • Tortilla chips
  • Corn and flour tortillas

Diets, allergies and planning

Nearly every event has some special diets. To plan for them:

  • Fit the bar into your running order
  • Put guests with serious allergies in touch with us early
  • Include a vegan filling on the bar
  • Send us allergy details in writing

If the schedule slips, tell us and we’ll hold everything hot until you’re ready.

Nachos to share can keep guests going before the bar opens.

Why choose taco bar hire in Ash?

A standard buffet often sits out cold. Our fillings stay hot and the bowls are topped up as guests come back. Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so it helps to tell us about your venue. The full price is confirmed in your quote.

Why us?

  • Set-up planned with you and your venue
  • Quick, friendly service from the hatch
  • Book food, drinks or both
  • A quote that sets out what’s included

How it works

Serving is quick: we serve from the hatch or a serving station, so a crowd is looked after quickly. Afterwards we clear our area. From late May to late September, sunset in Ash moves from about 8:45pm to 7:00pm. Let us know if an outdoor station will run after dark, and we will talk about lighting.

  1. Tell us about your event and your guests.
  2. We send a sample spread and a quote.
  3. Access, power and water are agreed beforehand.
  4. We set up the station and keep everything hot.
  5. At the end, we take everything away.

Before we arrive

  • Measure any gates or arches on the way in
  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
  • Give us a contact for the day
