Taco bar hire in Farnborough

How our taco bar hire works in Farnborough

Taco bars suit wedding breakfasts, parties and office lunches alike. Building your own is quick, which keeps the line moving, and nobody waits long. It works well for family get-togethers and engagement parties, serving fresh salsas, a build-your-own taco bar and guacamole.

London gardens are often reached only through the house, and many venues in Farnborough have no vehicle access to the room. A taco bar station can be set up away from the truck, with the venue’s agreement, and we need a short, clear route from where we unload. You can book food, drinks or both, so the food and drinks can come from one caterer.

Questions from Farnborough

Our venue in Farnborough has no vehicle access: can we still have a taco bar?

Yes, if the venue allows it. The truck or trailer does not have to reach the room, but we do need to unload close by, so tell us about loading, permits and parking.

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St Giles the Abbot?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

Do you have vegan options?

Yes, they’re part of the planning from the start. Tell us your numbers when you ask for a quote, and we’ll keep their options separate.

Can the taco bar cater for special diets?

We plan vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free choices, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests. Allergen information is available for every dish.

Is the food suitable for children?

Yes, children are easy to plan for. Let us know numbers and ages, and we will suggest mild options.

Is the food made fresh?

Food is cooked to order in our truck or trailer, or served from a build-your-own taco bar. Fillings are slow-cooked beforehand and finished on site.

Is the food very hot?

It is up to you: we can keep the main dishes mild, with hotter salsas served separately. Read more about how spicy Mexican food is.

What is a build-your-own taco bar?

A serving table is laid with warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas and toppings, and each guest builds their own. Our staff keep it hot and topped up.

Step by step

We need a level, firm spot we can drive the truck or trailer onto, with power and water arrangements agreed beforehand. Send us a photo of the space if you are unsure. From late May to late September, sunset in Farnborough moves from about 8:50pm to 7:05pm. If the taco bar is outdoors and runs later, tell us what lighting the venue has.

  1. Tell us about your event and your guests.
  2. You get a suggested taco-bar menu and a quote.
  3. Access, power and water are agreed beforehand.
  4. We arrive, unload and lay out warm tortillas, fillings and toppings.
  5. At the end, we take everything away.

How to prepare

  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain
  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers
  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park

Planning a taco bar in Farnborough

Farnborough is about 2 miles south-west of Orpington, in Greater London. Tell us where your event in Farnborough will be, and we’ll plan the journey and set-up. We cover 764 places in Greater London. Our nearest city page is Croydon, about 7 miles away.

Close to Farnborough are historic houses such as Down House (2.1 miles south-west) and Bromley Palace (3.8 miles north-west). Estates and listed houses set their own rules for caterers, so check where a taco bar station and our vehicle would be permitted before you book. Guests arriving without a car will want to know that Orpington station is about 1.2 miles away. Venues in and around the Kent Downs National Landscape, within about 6 miles of Farnborough, sometimes have strict rules about catering and vehicles. Check with yours where a taco bar station and our truck or trailer could go.

Anywhere in BR6, we can bring taco bar hire to you. Streets in the area include Tye Lane, Peel Road and Pitt Road, and an event on any of them can work if the truck or trailer can park nearby. We also serve at events in Green Street Green (1 mile south-east), Locksbottom (1 mile north-west), Crofton (1 mile north), Farthing Street (1 mile south-west) and Downe (2 miles south-west). Organising for someone else?

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can plan ahead.

Planning an event for a club, school or charity in Farnborough? A truck or trailer serves a crowd quickly, with options for most diets. Give us the details and we’ll suggest a plan.

How we price taco bar hire

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, depending on:

  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • Distance and access to the venue

There is no one-size-fits-all price for taco bar hire. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Your quote sets it all out.

What to tell us

You do not need every detail fixed to get a quote, but it helps to know:

  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • Where the event is
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • What power and water the site has

Getting a quote is simple: share your date, venue, numbers and diets. We’ll come back with a clear quote and a suggested menu.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, with allergen information for every dish.

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it is more work than it looks. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Read our guide to taco bars.

Catering for every guest

Nearly every event has some special diets. To plan for them:

  • Put guests with serious allergies in touch with us early
  • Put allergies in writing for us
  • Include a vegan filling on the bar
  • Let us know about anyone who is coeliac

Staff stay at the taco bar to refill bowls and answer questions.

A wider range of salsas suits guests who like it mild and those who like it hot.

Space, access and the venue

The route in matters as much as the spot itself. We look for:

  • Space for a serving table on level ground
  • A parking or loading spot near the serving area
  • A sheltered spot if we’re serving outside

As a London location, Farnborough is inside the ULEZ, and parking and loading take planning: let us know about permits, bays, off-street space or a parking suspension.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise before you book.
