Taco bar hire for Faversham events

What taco bar hire costs

The price comes down to a few factors:

  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • Timings and hours
  • Guest numbers

Larger events can cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

Getting an accurate quote

We can quote more accurately with a few details. Here’s what to include:

  • What power and water the site has
  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • The date and time of the event
  • Diets and allergies you know about

Getting a quote is simple: tell us the date, place, numbers and any dietary needs. We’ll come back with a clear quote.

About our taco bar hire in Faversham

We run the taco bar ourselves: warming tortillas, keeping fillings hot and refilling the salsas as they go. Your hosts can stay with their guests. It suits summer garden parties and evening wedding receptions, with a build-your-own taco bar, burrito bowls and guacamole.

In Faversham, a taco bar can be set up inside a hall or club, with the venue’s agreement. We need space for the station, a way in from where we park and room for a queue. We’ll check the space, access and power with you before the day, so there are no surprises on arrival.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

Some hosts like to do it themselves. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the serving.

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

Hot fillings

A few fillings give guests plenty of choice. We agree them with you.

Faversham: your questions answered

How far is Faversham from London?

Roughly 44 miles from the centre of London, and well within our area.

Which station is closest to Faversham?

Guests can use Faversham station, which is right in Faversham.

What areas do you cover?

London and the South East: Greater London, Kent and Medway, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

Is the food very hot?

It is up to you: we can keep the main dishes mild, with hotter salsas served separately. Read more about how spicy Mexican food is.

How big an event can you cater?

That depends on the menu and the service time, but around 50 to 400 guests is the usual range. For anything outside that, ask us.

Can you serve in the rain?

We can serve from the hatch in the rain. It is worth planning a covered area for guests, and tell us if heavy rain could make the ground soft.

Do you give allergen information?

Yes. Tell us about allergies when you book. Under UK rules, caterers must give information on 14 allergens, and we give it for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). Anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us before the event.

Can you come to a private house?

That depends on access. If the truck or trailer can’t reach the garden, a drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission. Tell us about the space and we’ll advise.

Working with your venue

Events in public spaces, like parks, normally need permission. We’ll provide the information the landowner or council asks for from us.

Planning an event for a club, school or charity in Faversham? Service from a truck or trailer is quick, even for a crowd, and the menu can suit most diets. Give us the details and we’ll suggest a plan.

Comparing your options

Compared with a hog roast or carvery, a taco bar handles vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests without separate plates. If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we will suggest a menu that fits. Even a simple menu can feel generous.

Why book with us

  • Book food, drinks or both
  • Options for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests
  • Set-up planned with you and your venue
  • Everything served fresh from the hatch

See our prices page or what Mexican catering costs.

Planning for every diet

Nearly every event has some special diets. To plan for them:

  • Include a dietary question on your invitations
  • Check where our vehicle can unload
  • Plan the taco bar around speeches and timings
  • Agree the serving spot with your venue early

We arrive with time to unload and set the bar up before guests eat.

Extra salsas, from mild to hot, let guests choose their own heat.

The process

We take care of everything you’ve booked, from set-up to service, so you can enjoy your event. Around midsummer it stays light in Faversham until about 9:15pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:00pm, so an outdoor taco bar in summer is normally served in daylight. In December it is dark by about 3:50pm, so guests will need light to see the fillings and toppings.

  1. Contact us with your date and headcount.
  2. We agree a menu that covers every diet.
  3. Nearer the date, we confirm timings and the serving spot.
  4. Service starts when your running order says.
  5. Once service is over, we pack away.

Getting ready for the day

  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park
  • Share the running order, including any speeches
