Taco bar hire for Forest Park events

About our taco bar hire in Forest Park

Mixed diets are simple at a taco bar, as fillings and toppings are kept in separate dishes. There are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free choices, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests, plus allergen information for every dish. It suits garden parties and christenings and family parties, serving warm corn and flour tortillas, a build-your-own taco bar and slow-cooked fillings kept hot.

In and around Forest Park, a taco bar works beside the truck or in a hall nearby. If the truck can’t reach the garden, we park as close as we can and set the station up where your guests are, as long as we can unload within a short walk. We turn up ready to serve, and tidy our own area afterwards.

Should I do it myself?

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Read our guide to taco bars.

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, with allergen information for every dish.

Common questions in Forest Park

We are having a ceremony at St Paul: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. We’d serve at the reception venue rather than at the church itself. Send us the reception address.

How far is Forest Park from central London?

Roughly 28 miles from the centre of London, and well within our area.

How do you handle dietary needs at the taco bar?

Fillings and toppings sit in separate dishes, which helps with mixed diets, but we cannot promise an allergen-free kitchen. Anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us before the event.

When do you arrive?

That depends on your event and menu. We agree arrival, service and pack-down times with you so everything fits your schedule.

How does a taco bar work?

A serving table is laid with warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas and toppings, and guests build their own tacos. Our staff keep it hot and topped up.

Is the food made fresh?

We slow-cook fillings ahead, then finish them and keep them hot at your event. Tortillas are warmed on site, and salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

Is a taco bar right for a wedding?

The taco bar can be the wedding breakfast, the evening food or both. We agree the timings with your venue, and guests build their own plates.

Do you do margaritas?

Yes, we run a Mexican drinks bar, serving margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas such as hibiscus and horchata, and soft drinks. Alcohol at an event may need a licence, such as a premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice, so we will go through the licensing with you.

Step by step

When service finishes, we pack up and leave our area tidy. Set-up and pack-down times are agreed with you and the venue. Around midsummer it stays light in Forest Park until about 9:25pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so a summer taco bar outside normally runs in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 3:55pm, plan good lighting over the station.

  1. Start with the essentials: the date, venue, headcount and diets.
  2. You get a suggested taco-bar spread and a quote.
  3. We agree where the table goes and where our vehicle can unload.
  4. Our staff set up the station, keep the fillings hot and top up the bar through service.
  5. After the last tacos, we clear the station away.
