Taco bar hire for your event in Glebe Farm

We run the taco bar ourselves: keeping the fillings hot, warming tortillas and topping up the bowls. Nobody from your side needs to lift a spoon. At family get-togethers and leaving dos, we can serve guacamole, a build-your-own taco bar and slow-cooked fillings kept hot.

In a smaller place like Glebe Farm, a taco bar in your garden or a local hall keeps things simple. Our staff set up the station and guests build their own tacos. Let us know about the drive and parking. Everything is prepared fresh for your event and served from our food truck or trailer, so guests get it at its best.

How it works

The truck or trailer tends to draw a crowd, so we’ll help you choose a spot with room for a queue. Rain does not normally stop us serving, but guests will need somewhere covered. In Glebe Farm, the sun sets at about 9:25pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so an outdoor taco bar in summer is generally served in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:55pm, so guests will need light to see the fillings and toppings.

  1. Start with your date, venue and guest numbers.
  2. We plan the fillings, salsas and toppings with you.
  3. The venue confirms where the bar goes and where we park.
  4. On the day, guests help themselves while we keep the bar stocked.
  5. We clear the bar away after service.

Working with your venue

Throwing a party at home? Send us a picture of the space and tell us about the drive and gates, and we will tell you honestly whether a truck or trailer will fit.

Events in public spaces, like parks, usually need permission. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.

What we need at the venue

Everything is served from our truck or trailer, so where we park matters. Here’s what we look for:

  • The venue’s agreement for the taco bar and our vehicle
  • A spot next to the truck or trailer when both are booked
  • Power and water arrangements, confirmed with each booking

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we’ll tell you honestly.

Popular choices

  • Vegan fillings
  • Pickled onions and toppings
  • Salsas and guacamole
  • Corn and flour tortillas
  • Tortilla chips
  • Two to four fillings

FAQs for Glebe Farm

Is Glebe Farm close to London?

Roughly 44 miles from the centre of London.

Which station should guests use for Glebe Farm?

Woburn Sands station, about 1.2 miles south-east of the centre.

How much space do you need?

The main things are access and a level spot: a firm spot for the truck or trailer, room for a queue and, for a taco bar, space for a serving table. If in doubt, send us a photo of the space and the way in.

What is a build-your-own taco bar?

Guests take a plate and fill their tortillas from the dishes on the bar. We run the bar from set-up to pack-down.

Can you keep it mild?

The food can be kept mild, with hotter salsas on the side for anyone who wants more heat.

How long are you on site?

We arrive in good time to set up before service. Serving times are agreed with you in advance, along with pack-down.

What if a vehicle can’t reach the serving spot?

It can go beside the truck or trailer, or somewhere a vehicle can’t reach. Either way, we need to unload nearby and have the venue’s permission.

What’s on the menu?

Mexican street food: tacos and build-your-own taco bars, burritos, burrito bowls, nachos and quesadillas, plus salsas, guacamole and toppings. We also run a Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it’s more work than it looks. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, with allergen information for every dish.
