Taco bar hire in Lavendon

Taco bar hire in Lavendon, from our food truck or trailer

Fillings are agreed with you, such as pork carnitas, chicken tinga or beef birria, with a vegan filling like black bean and sweet potato or spiced mushroom. It works well for wedding meals and barn parties, serving fresh salsas, slow-cooked fillings kept hot and warm corn and flour tortillas.

In a small place like Lavendon, a taco bar might go in a garden, a barn or a nearby hall. If the truck can’t get close, we can set the station up nearer your guests, as long as we can unload within a short walk. Timings are planned around your event, so service starts when you want it.

The process

We arrive in good time before service, set up the truck or trailer and get everything ready. Guests come up to order when service opens. Planning an evening taco bar in Lavendon? Sunset is around 8:55pm in late May, 9:25pm at midsummer and 7:05pm in late September. After dusk, lights over the station help guests build their tacos.

  1. Contact us with your date and headcount.
  2. We plan fillings and toppings around your guests’ diets.
  3. We fix timings with you and the venue.
  4. Service starts when your running order says.
  5. We clear our station when service ends.

Organising for someone else?

For big numbers, we plan service to keep queues short, so guests are looked after quickly. Tell us how long you have for food and drinks.

If you’re organising for someone else, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we’ll work directly with you and the venue. It keeps things simple.

Planning for every diet

Mixed diets are straightforward to plan for, because options can be kept separate. A few tips:

  • Have anyone with a severe allergy speak to us first
  • Tell us about coeliac guests specifically
  • Count children separately
  • Include a vegan filling on the bar

We arrive with time to unload and set the bar up before guests eat.

Loaded nachos make a good starter while the bar is set up.

Lavendon: your questions answered

Do you come out to small places like Lavendon?

Yes, small places are no problem, given access. Tell us about lanes, gates, ground and parking.

Is Lavendon close to London?

About 52 miles from central London, and we cover it.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Yes, and we plan them in from the start. Let us know how many vegetarian and vegan guests to expect, and we will keep their options separate.

What food and drinks do you offer?

Every menu is agreed with you. Fillings might include slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga, beef birria and vegan options such as spiced mushrooms or black beans. Our sample menu has more ideas.

Do you stay to run the taco bar?

The taco bar is served from a table or station by our staff, so your hosts don’t need to. When service ends, we clear it away.

Do you cover Lavendon?

Yes. We cater across London and the South East, and Lavendon is within our area. For a quote, send a quick message through our quote form.

What happens if it rains?

The truck or trailer can serve in the rain, but guests need somewhere covered to eat and drink, like a marquee or gazebo.

Is there a minimum number of guests?

Our truck and trailer service usually suits events of around 50 to 400 guests. Smaller parties are quoted case by case, and festivals can be larger. Tell us your numbers.

Is taco bar hire right for your event?

For a meal that is hands-on for guests but not for you, a taco bar is a strong choice for your event. The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

What taco bar hire costs

These are the factors that matter most:

  • The number of people
  • The length of service
  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • Food, drinks or both

Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, along with extras and where your event is. Every event gets its own quote.

What we need to know

Here’s what makes a quick, accurate quote possible:

  • A picture of the space, if it is a garden or field
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • Your date and when you want service to start

To get a price, just use our quote form. Give us the details of your event, and we’ll suggest a menu to suit.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label anything containing allergens.

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, with allergen information for every dish.
