Taco bar hire in Longlands, from our food truck or trailer

Add burrito bowls, loaded nachos or quesadillas if you’d like more choice. Margaritas and aguas frescas from our drinks bar can be added. We serve burrito bowls, warm corn and flour tortillas and pickled onions and toppings, and it suits garden parties and wedding day food.

London gardens are often reached only through the house, and many venues in Longlands have no vehicle access to the room. A taco bar station can be set up away from the truck, with the venue’s agreement, and we need a short, clear route from where we unload. You’ll know what’s included before you book: the menu, the service time and any extras you choose.

Common questions in Longlands

Can you bring your truck or trailer to Waring Park?

Only if the landowner, often the council, allows it. Check with them, and we will provide what they ask for from us.

Could you serve our guests after a service at Christ Church?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

How big an event can you cater?

It depends on the menu and how long service runs, but around 50 to 400 guests is the usual range. Tell us your numbers and we will advise.

Is the food made fresh?

We cook to order in our truck or trailer kitchen, or serve from a taco bar. Slow-cooked fillings are prepared in advance and kept hot on site.

What happens if it rains?

Rain doesn’t usually stop service from the truck or trailer. It’s worth planning a covered area for guests, and let us know if the ground gets soft after heavy rain.

Can you cater for guests who avoid dairy?

Yes, we can. Tell us how many guests need dairy-free food, and we will include them in the plan.

Do you have options for kids?

Yes, children are welcome. Tell us how many and roughly how old, and we will suggest mild options.

Do you have vegan options?

Yes, and we plan them in from the start. Tell us your numbers when you ask for a quote, and we will keep their options separate.

Can I do a taco night myself?

Weighing up a DIY taco night against a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Ask us for a quote and compare.

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

Step by step

We arrive in good time before service, set up the truck or trailer and get everything ready. Guests come up to order when service opens. Around midsummer it stays light in Longlands until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so an outdoor taco bar in summer is generally served in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 3:55pm, plan good lighting over the station.

  1. Send us your date, where the taco bar will go, numbers and dietary needs.
  2. You get a suggested taco-bar spread and a quote.
  3. We agree where the table goes and where our vehicle can unload.
  4. On the day our staff lay out the bar and keep it stocked while guests build their tacos.
  5. When service finishes, we clear the table and pack the vehicle.

Preparing for the day

  • Ask the venue about power and water
  • Tell us when you want service to start
  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely

Planning help

Working with your venue

Events in public spaces, like parks, normally need permission. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.

Planning an event for a club, school or charity in Longlands? A truck or trailer serves a crowd quickly, with options for most diets. Give us the details and we will suggest a plan.

Catering for every guest

Nearly every event has some special diets. To plan for them:

  • Make sure guests have somewhere to sit
  • Tell us about coeliac guests specifically
  • Send us allergy details in writing
  • Tell us how many children are coming

Fillings are kept hot and tortillas warmed in batches.

Loaded nachos make a good starter while the bar is set up.

What we need at the venue

Many gardens, fields and venues can take a truck or trailer, but a few things matter:

  • A sheltered spot if we are serving outside
  • Space beside the truck or trailer if you’re booking both
  • Room nearby to park and unload our vehicle

As a London location, Longlands is inside the ULEZ, and parking and loading take planning: tell us about parking bays, permits, a driveway or whether a parking suspension is needed.

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think before booking.

What we offer

  • Corn and flour tortillas
  • Vegan fillings
  • Pickled onions and toppings
  • Salsas and guacamole
  • Tortilla chips
  • Two to four fillings

Taco bar hire or something else?

If you want food that feels sociable but still well run, a taco bar suits events well. There is no one-size-fits-all price for taco bar hire. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Contact us for a quote.
