You choose the fillings with us, perhaps carnitas, chicken tinga or birria, with a vegan filling like black bean and sweet potato or spiced mushroom. On the menu are fresh salsas, burrito bowls and warm corn and flour tortillas, which works well for garden parties and team socials.

Prices and what affects them
These are the factors that matter most:
- The menu you choose
- What the venue already provides
- Travel, parking and access
- How many staff you need
Access, parking and the distance to your venue can affect the price, so tell us about the venue when you ask for a quote. The full price is confirmed in your quote.
Details that help
For a quote, it helps to have:
- Where the event is
- Your date and when you want service to start
- Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
- Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
Still deciding on the menu? That’s fine: give us the basics about your event, and we will make suggestions. When you’re ready, use our quote form.

DIY taco night versus a caterer
Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Ask us for a quote and compare.
A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, with allergen information for every dish.
Planning for every diet
Most events have a mix of diets. To cater well for them:
- Ask guests with severe allergies to contact us before the day
- Choose at least one vegan filling
- Tell us about coeliac guests specifically
- Collect dietary needs with your replies
Each dish is labelled, and allergen information is kept at the bar.
Ask us about plates, napkins and cutlery and we’ll confirm what’s possible in your quote.
Taco bar hire or something else?
For a meal that is hands-on for guests but not for you, a taco bar suits events well. What’s on the menu makes a difference to the total, so share your ideas with us. Tell us your budget and we will suggest a menu.

Planning the serving area
We’ll be honest if a space will not work, and suggest an alternative. The main points are:
- The venue’s or landowner’s agreement
- A parking or loading spot near the serving area
- Power and water, which we confirm when you book
As a London location, Northwood is inside the ULEZ, and parking and loading take planning: let us know about permits, bays, off-street space or a parking suspension.
If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think.

FAQs for Northwood
Can you cater a reception after a service at Emmanuel Church?
Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.
Our venue in Northwood has no vehicle access: can we still have a taco bar?
Typically, if the venue agrees to a staffed station. We still need somewhere close by to unload, and in London that may mean a loading bay or a parking suspension.
Do you provide plates and napkins?
Please ask us. Tell us what your venue provides, and we will set out plates, napkins and cutlery in your quote.
Is the food very hot?
That’s your choice: we can keep it mild and put the hotter salsas on the side.
How is the food prepared?
Food is cooked to order in our truck or trailer, or served from a build-your-own taco bar. Slow-cooked fillings are prepared in advance and kept hot on site.
What access do you need?
Access and level ground matter most: a firm spot for the truck or trailer, room for a queue and, for a taco bar, space for a serving table. Send us a picture and tell us about gates, slopes and soft ground.
How long do you serve for?
That depends on your event and menu. We agree arrival, service and pack-down times with you so everything fits your schedule.
Do you have gluten-free options?
Yes, gluten-free options are available, made with corn tortillas. Let us know about coeliac guests in advance so we can talk through how their food is prepared.
How it works
We get there well before you want to serve, then set up and prepare everything. Guests come up to order when service opens. In Northwood, the sun sets at about 9:25pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so a summer taco bar outside normally runs in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:55pm, so guests will need light to see the fillings and toppings.
- Start with your date, venue and guest numbers.
- We plan the fillings, salsas and toppings with you.
- The venue confirms where the bar goes and where we park.
- On the day, guests help themselves while we keep the bar stocked.
- We clear the bar away after service.
Getting ready for the day
- Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve
- Arrange somewhere covered for guests to eat
- Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready
How to get a price
