Taco bar hire near Rush Green

Taco bar hire in Rush Green, served fresh

For a bigger spread, burrito bowls, nachos or quesadillas can sit alongside the tacos. Our drinks bar can be booked with it too. It suits milestone birthdays and evening receptions, serving a build-your-own taco bar, warm corn and flour tortillas and burrito bowls.

London gardens are often reached only through the house, and many venues in Rush Green have no vehicle access to the room. A taco bar station can be set up away from the truck, with the venue’s agreement, and we need a short, clear route from where we unload. Timings are planned around your event, so service starts when you want it.

How it works

Serving is quick: guests are served at the hatch or a serving station, so a crowd is looked after quickly. When service ends, we pack down. Around midsummer it stays light in Rush Green until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so an outdoor taco bar in summer is normally served in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:50pm, so guests will need light to see the fillings and toppings.

  1. Tell us the date, the venue, how many guests and any diets.
  2. You get a suggested taco-bar spread and a quote.
  3. Together we fix the spot for the taco bar and a nearby place for our vehicle.
  4. We set out warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas and toppings, and guests help themselves.
  5. Once guests have eaten, we take down the bar and leave the spot tidy.

Planning the serving area

Plenty of outdoor spaces and venues work for us, but there are a few things to check:

  • The venue’s or landowner’s agreement
  • A spot next to the truck or trailer when both are booked
  • Easy access from where we unload to the table

Rush Green is in London, inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, which covers all of Greater London, and parking can be tight: let us know about permits, bays, off-street space or a parking suspension.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise.

What affects the price in Rush Green

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, depending on:

  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • How many guests we are serving
  • Parking and the route in
  • How long we’re needed on site

Extras, such as more dishes, extra drinks or a longer service, are quoted on request, so you choose what goes in.

Details that help

You do not need everything decided to ask for a quote, but these help:

  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • The date and time of the event
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground

Every event is quoted individually, based on what you need. To ask for one, tell us about it on our contact page.

Working with your venue

Hosting a party at home? Send us a picture of the space and tell us about the drive and gates, and we will tell you honestly whether a truck or trailer will fit.

For larger events, we plan serving points around your timings, so guests are looked after quickly. Tell us how long you have for food and drinks.

Our caterer checklist

DIY taco night or a caterer?

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, with allergen information for every dish.

Rush Green questions

Can you cater a reception after a service at St Augustine of Canterbury Church?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

Is parking a problem for events in Rush Green?

London parking needs planning: let us know about permits or off-street space. Some streets may need a parking suspension from the council, and all of Greater London is inside the ULEZ.

When should we book?

As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Even if it is short notice, it’s worth asking.

Does the taco bar need the truck on site?

The taco bar can sit next to the truck or trailer, or in a spot of its own. We need a nearby place to unload, plus the venue’s agreement.

Who clears up?

We pack down and tidy our own area after service. Ask us if you’d like help with anything else.

How much is a taco bar?

We don’t publish set prices, as each booking is different. Send us your details and we’ll quote for your event. Our guide to Mexican catering costs may help.

Where do you cater?

We cover London and the South East, including Greater London. See all areas.

Do you have gluten-free options?

Yes, we offer gluten-free options, made with corn tortillas. Let us know about coeliac guests in advance so we can talk through how their food is prepared.

What’s on the menu
