What taco bar hire costs
Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:
- What the venue already provides
- Your choice of food and drinks
- Distance and access to the venue
- Food, drinks or both
The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, plus any add-ons and the location. We quote for each event individually.
What we need to know
To speed things up, tell us:
- Diets and allergies you know about
- A picture of the space, if it’s a garden or field
- What you’d like on the menu
- Gate widths, slopes and the ground
Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many guests, along with any dietary needs, and we will reply with a menu suggestion and a quote. Just drop us a line using the enquiry form.

Sprig's Alley: your questions answered
Do you come out to small places like Sprig's Alley?
Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.
What’s the nearest station to Sprig's Alley for guests?
Guests can use Saunderton station, about 2.9 miles east of Sprig's Alley.
How long do you serve for?
We get there well before service to set up. The length of service is agreed when you book, along with pack-down.
How does taco bar hire work?
We set out warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings on a serving table, and each guest builds their own. Our staff keep it hot and topped up.
Can you set up where a truck can’t get in?
The taco bar can sit next to the truck or trailer, or in a spot of its own. Either way, we need to unload nearby and have the venue’s permission.
Which areas do you serve?
We cover London and the South East, Oxfordshire included. See all areas.
What about power on site?
Let us know what’s available on site, such as a supply from the venue near where we will park, and we will confirm the arrangements with your quote.
How many guests can you serve?
Our truck and trailer service normally suits events of around 50 to 400 guests. Smaller parties are quoted case by case, and festivals can be larger. Send us your numbers and we’ll advise.
Dietary needs and planning tips
With a little notice, most diets are easy. Our advice:
- Put guests with serious allergies in touch with us early
- Confirm a loading spot close to the bar
- Flag any guest with coeliac disease
- Tell us when guests should eat
A covered spot keeps the bar and guests dry if it rains.
Extra salsas, from mild to hot, let guests choose their own heat.
Comparing your options
If you want food that feels sociable but still well run, a taco bar suits events well. Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, because it needs no venue kitchen. Contact us for a quote to compare.
What you get with us
- A menu agreed with you
- Catering across Oxfordshire, including Sprig's Alley
- Food and drinks from one caterer, if you want both
- Served fresh from our food truck or trailer

DIY taco night or a caterer?
You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.
For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles allergen information for you.
What happens on the day
When service finishes, we pack down and clear our own area. Set-up and pack-down times are agreed with you and the venue. In Sprig's Alley, the sun sets at about 9:25pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so a summer taco bar outside normally runs in daylight. In December it is dark by about 3:55pm, so guests will need light to see the fillings and toppings.
- Tell us the date, the venue, how many guests and any diets.
- We suggest fillings, salsas and toppings for the bar and send a quote.
- Together we fix the spot for the taco bar and a nearby place for our vehicle.
- On the day our staff lay out the bar and keep it stocked while guests build their tacos.
- Once guests have eaten, we take down the bar and leave the spot tidy.
Preparing for the day
- Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain
- Let us know who to talk to on the day
- Confirm the venue allows outside caterers
