Taco bar hire near St Luke's
How our taco bar hire works in St Luke's
We can serve the taco bar next to the truck or trailer, or as a separate station. If the truck cannot get to the spot, we park close by, unload and carry the bar in, with the venue’s agreement. It suits office lunches and family celebrations, with slow-cooked fillings kept hot, warm corn and flour tortillas and a build-your-own taco bar.
London gardens are often reached only through the house, and many venues in St Luke's have no vehicle access to the room. The station can go where the truck cannot, as long as the venue agrees, and we need a short, clear route from where we unload. Your quote sets out what’s included: the menu, the service time and any extras you choose.

DIY taco night or a caterer?
DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.
A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it is more work than it looks. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.
Dietary needs and planning tips
Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. We suggest:
- Confirm a loading spot close to the bar
- Collect dietary needs with your replies
- Count children separately
- Tell us when guests should eat
Staff stay at the taco bar to refill bowls and answer questions.
Tell us if you need plates and cutlery and we’ll set out the options in your quote.
How the day works
Guests tend to gather around the truck, so we’ll help you choose a spot with room for a queue. Rain doesn’t usually stop us serving, but guests will need somewhere covered. Evenings in St Luke's stay light until about 9:20pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:05pm. After dusk, lights over the station help guests build their tacos.
- Tell us about your event and your guests.
- You get a suggested taco-bar menu and a quote.
- Access, power and water are agreed beforehand.
- We set up the station and keep everything hot.
- At the end, we take everything away.
Getting ready for the day
- Share the running order, including any speeches
- Measure any gates or arches on the way in
- Arrange somewhere covered for guests to eat

A sandwich platter is easy to order but rarely remembered. Warm tortillas and hot fillings give a lunch more to talk about. Access, parking and the distance to your venue can affect the price, so it helps to tell us about your venue. The full price is confirmed in your quote.

Common questions in St Luke's
Is parking a problem for events in St Luke's?
That depends on the street. A drive, a courtyard or a bay suspended by the council can all work, so tell us what’s outside your venue. The ULEZ covers all of Greater London.
What’s the nearest station to St Luke's for guests?
St Luke's has its own station: Old Street station.
Can guests build their own tacos?
We can. We can set up a build-your-own taco bar, served from the truck or a serving table, with fillings, salsas and toppings to choose from. Read our taco bar guide.
What if the weather’s bad?
The truck or trailer can serve in the rain, but your guests will want somewhere covered, such as a marquee, gazebo or nearby building.
How many guests can you serve?
Our truck and trailer service usually suits events of around 50 to 400 guests. Smaller parties are quoted case by case, and festivals can be larger. Send us your numbers and we’ll advise.
Can you keep it mild?
The food can be kept mild, and hotter salsas go on the side for guests who like heat.
Do you cater for coeliacs?
We can, using corn tortillas. Corn tortillas are naturally gluten-free, but some fillings, sauces and toppings may not be, so we check every dish and give allergen information.
When should we book?
As soon as you have a date. Popular dates go first, so get in touch early.
Who books taco bar hire in St Luke's?

- Any dietary needs and allergies
- Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
Each quote is tailored to your event. Tell us your date and guest numbers, and we will check availability at the same time.
