Taco bar hire in Wheeler End: local tips

Wheeler End is about 4 miles west of High Wycombe, in Buckinghamshire. We serve in all 263 towns and villages across Buckinghamshire, from the larger towns to small villages.

Guests leaving a church like Church of the Holy Trinity could head to a nearby hall or garden where the taco bar is ready. Nearby historic houses include West Wycombe Park House (1.7 miles north-east) and Hughenden Manor (3.7 miles east). If your event is at a historic house or estate, ask early whether a staffed taco bar is allowed and where we could unload. Venues in and around the Chilterns National Landscape, within about 4 miles of Wheeler End, sometimes have strict rules about catering and vehicles. Check with yours where a taco bar station and our truck or trailer could go.

Your questions about taco bar hire in Wheeler End

How far is Wheeler End from central London?

About 33 miles from central London.

Which station is closest to Wheeler End?

Guests can use Saunderton station, about 3.2 miles north of Wheeler End.

Do you do parties at home?

That depends on access. A drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission, if the garden itself is out of reach. Tell us about the space and we’ll advise.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes, they’re part of the planning from the start. Tell us your numbers when you ask for a quote, and we’ll keep their options separate.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We clear our own area when service is finished. For anything beyond that, such as guests’ tables, ask us.

How does taco bar hire work?

Each guest builds tacos from the fillings, salsas and toppings laid out. We run the bar from set-up to pack-down.

Do you give allergen information?

Our menus are planned with allergies in mind, nut allergies included, and give allergen information for every dish. We plan carefully and keep options separate, though we cannot promise a dish is allergen-free. If a guest has a severe allergy, please talk to us before the event.

What if a vehicle cannot reach the serving spot?

The taco bar can be served from a table or station away from the truck. We still need somewhere close to unload our vehicle, and the venue has to agree.

What we need at the venue

We will agree the spot with you before the day. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • A spot next to the truck or trailer when both are booked
  • The venue’s agreement for the taco bar and our vehicle
  • Easy access from where we unload to the table

If you are unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think.

What we offer

  • Salsas and guacamole
  • Vegan fillings
  • Pickled onions and toppings
  • Corn and flour tortillas
  • Two to four fillings
  • Tortilla chips

What happens on the day

Guests tend to gather around the truck, so we’ll help you choose a spot with room for a queue. We can serve in the rain, though guests will want somewhere covered to stand or sit. Around midsummer it stays light in Wheeler End until about 9:25pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so an outdoor taco bar in summer is generally served in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 3:55pm, plan good lighting over the station.

  1. Tell us about your event and your guests.
  2. We send a sample spread and a quote.
  3. Access, power and water are agreed beforehand.
  4. We set up the station and keep everything hot.
  5. At the end, we take everything away.

Preparing for the day
