Taco bar hire in Wivelrod

About our taco bar hire in Wivelrod

The taco bar works for a wedding breakfast, a party or a working lunch. Guests build their plates quickly, so a crowd moves through steadily, and nobody waits long. It works well for back-garden gatherings and office lunches, serving pickled onions and toppings, fresh salsas and guacamole.

In a hamlet or village like Wivelrod, a barn or marquee can shelter a taco bar from the weather. We set up the station and our team runs it. We turn up ready to serve, and tidy our own area afterwards.

Your questions about taco bar hire in Wivelrod

We’re having a ceremony at Chapel of Alton Abbey: can you cater afterwards?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

How far is Wivelrod from London?

It is about 48 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Do you stay to run the taco bar?

We run the station ourselves, so you don’t need helpers. When service ends, we clear it away.

Can you keep it mild?

That is your choice: we can keep the main dishes mild, with hotter salsas served separately.

Do you take everything away?

We clear our own area when service is finished. For anything beyond that, such as guests’ tables, ask us.

Do you have options for kids?

Of course. We can keep dishes mild, and simple options such as quesadillas or nachos can be part of the menu. Include children in your numbers.

Can you come to a private house?

That depends on access. If the truck or trailer cannot reach the garden, a drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission. Send us a picture and we will talk it through.

Can you set up where a truck can’t get in?

It can go beside the truck or trailer, or somewhere a vehicle cannot reach. We need a nearby place to unload, plus the venue’s agreement.

What affects the price in Wivelrod

We quote for your event, and the price is based on:

  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • The menu you choose
  • Travel, parking and access
  • How many staff you need

Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so tell us about the venue when you ask for a quote. Your quote confirms the full price.

What to tell us

Good planning starts with a few facts. Please include:

  • The date and rough timings
  • What power and water the site has
  • The address or venue name
  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground

We need only a few details to quote: date, location, guest numbers and diets. To send them, send a quick message through our quote form.

Diets, allergies and planning

A Mexican menu is easy to plan for mixed diets, because options can be kept separate. A few tips:

  • Send us allergy details in writing
  • Set out seating near the bar
  • Ask the venue where we can park to unload
  • Fit the bar into your running order

We arrive with time to unload and set the bar up before guests eat.

Book the truck or trailer for evening food after a daytime taco bar.

Working with your venue

Booking for a company? Tell us what your finance team needs, and we will talk you through the process. We are happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.

Should I do it myself?

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Our taco bar guide explains how.

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

Planning the serving area

The route in matters as much as the spot itself. We look for:

  • The venue’s or landowner’s agreement
  • Space for a line of guests at the bar
  • Somewhere close by for our vehicle to park and unload

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we will tell you honestly before you book.

Step by step

The truck or trailer tends to draw a crowd, so we will help you choose a spot with room for a queue. Rain does not usually stop us serving, though guests will want somewhere covered to stand or sit. Around midsummer it stays light in Wivelrod until about 9:25pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:10pm, so an outdoor taco bar in summer is generally served in daylight. In December it is dark by about 4:00pm, so guests will need light to see the fillings and toppings.

  1. Tell us the date, the venue, how many guests and any diets.
  2. We plan the fillings and toppings with you and quote for them.
  3. Before the day, we confirm the serving spot, unloading, power and water with the venue.
  4. Our staff set up the station, keep the fillings hot and top up the bar through service.
  5. Once guests have eaten, we take down the bar and leave the spot tidy.

Preparing for the day
