About our taco bar hire in Woodlands

We can serve the taco bar next to the truck or trailer, or as a separate station. Where a vehicle can’t reach the serving spot, we unload nearby and set the table up there, with the venue’s agreement. At staff parties and christenings and family parties, we’ll put together a menu of burrito bowls, slow-cooked fillings kept hot and guacamole for your guests.

Near Woodlands, a taco bar next to the truck in a field or garden works well. Let us know about the gate, the ground and the route in, and we confirm power and water arrangements before the day. We’ll check the space, access and power with you before the day, so there are no surprises on arrival.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles allergen information for you.

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

Woodlands questions

Which station is closest to Woodlands?

The closest is Kemsing station, roughly 1.8 miles away.

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of Saint Mary the Virgin?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

Do you cook on site?

We cook to order in our truck or trailer kitchen, or serve from a taco bar. Fillings are slow-cooked beforehand and finished on site.

How much is a taco bar?

There’s no price list, because no two events are the same. Send us your details and we’ll quote for your event. See what Mexican catering costs for background.

Who clears up?

We clear our own area when service is finished. For anything beyond that, such as guests’ tables, ask us.

How many guests can a taco bar serve?

Truck and trailer service normally suits around 50 to 400 guests, while smaller parties are looked at case by case. Tell us your numbers and we’ll plan the bar around them.

Are plates and napkins included?

Please ask us. Let us know what you already have, and we’ll set out plates, napkins and cutlery in your quote.

How does a taco bar work?

We set out warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings on a serving table, and guests build their own tacos. Our staff keep it hot and topped up.

Taco bar hire or something else?

A taco bar and a truck serve the same food in different ways. From the truck, we put each order together; at the bar, guests build their own. Larger events can cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Give us your numbers and we’ll quote.

Questions to ask before booking

What taco bar hire costs

Pricing is straightforward once we know the basics:

  • The number of people
  • Serving staff
  • Parking and the route in
  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food

Got a budget? Let us know, and we will suggest a menu to match. A simple menu can still feel generous.

Details that help

To speed things up, tell us:

  • Expected numbers
  • A picture of the space, if it’s a garden or field
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • Your date and when you want service to start

Not sure what you need yet? That is fine: give us the basics about your event, and we’ll make suggestions. To start, send a quick message through our quote form.

The process

We need a level, firm spot we can drive the truck or trailer onto, and we agree power and water arrangements before the day. A photo of the space helps. Winter evenings in Woodlands close in by about 3:55pm, so an indoor spot or a well-lit station works best. In late June, the light holds until around 9:20pm.

  1. Tell us the date, the venue, how many guests and any diets.
  2. We plan the fillings and toppings with you and quote for them.
  3. Together we fix the spot for the taco bar and a nearby place for our vehicle.
  4. Our staff set up the station, keep the fillings hot and top up the bar through service.
  5. Once guests have eaten, we take down the bar and leave the spot tidy.

Getting ready for the day
