Wedding Mexican catering near Canary Wharf

Wedding Mexican catering in Canary Wharf, served fresh

We can cater the wedding breakfast, the evening food or both. One option is a taco bar for the main meal and tacos or nachos later on. On the menu are loaded nachos, burrito bowls and fresh guacamole and salsas, which works well for marquee and garden weddings and relaxed wedding breakfasts.

In Canary Wharf, couples might book tacos for the wedding breakfast, the evening, or both. Narrow streets mean we plan where the truck or trailer stops, and some venues may need a parking suspension from the council. Access, space and power are agreed with you beforehand, so set-up goes smoothly.

Your questions about wedding Mexican catering in Canary Wharf

Could you serve our guests after a service at St Peter's Church?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. We’d serve at the reception venue rather than at the church itself. Tell us where the reception will be.

Could you serve in Sir John McDougall Gardens?

Only with permission from whoever runs the park, often the council. Ask them first, and we will help with the information they need from us.

Is a taco bar smart enough for a wedding?

It can be dressed up or kept relaxed, depending on how it is served.

Do you do margaritas?

Yes, we run a Mexican drinks bar, serving margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas such as hibiscus and horchata, and soft drinks. Your venue or event may need the right licence for alcohol, so we will talk licensing through with you.

Do you have options for kids?

Yes, children are welcome. Tell us how many and roughly how old, and we will plan the menu with them in mind.

Can you keep it mild?

That is your choice: we can keep it mild and put the hotter salsas on the side. Read more about how spicy Mexican food is.

Can you cater for vegans and gluten-free guests?

Yes. We plan vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free options, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests, and we give allergen information for every dish.

Do you do a taco bar?

Yes. A build-your-own taco bar can be served from the truck or a serving station, with fillings, salsas and toppings to choose from. Read our taco bar guide.

How it works

Here’s how the day normally runs: we arrive and set up, we open the hatch when you’re ready, and your guests are served fresh until service ends. Golden-hour photos in Canary Wharf at midsummer come around 9:20pm, which helps us time evening food around your photos. In late May, sunset is about 8:50pm, and in late September about 7:05pm.

  1. You send us your wedding date, venue, numbers and how you see the day.
  2. Together we choose a taco bar, evening food or both, and we send a quote.
  3. Timings and where the truck or trailer will stand are agreed with your venue.
  4. On the day we set up and serve when your running order says.
  5. We pack down after service and leave our area tidy.

Preparing for the day

  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely
  • Give us your final numbers and diets
  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

Questions to ask before you book

Dietary needs and planning tips

We cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests. To make it work smoothly:

  • Count day and evening guests separately
  • Confirm the venue’s catering rules early
  • Think about a covered space for wet weather
  • Ask about your date as soon as you have one

If things run late, and we will move the serving time so the food is still hot.

Add our drinks bar for margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas, with licensing checked with you and your venue.

Space, access and the venue

We will be honest if a space will not work, and suggest an alternative. The main points are:

  • Agreement from the venue to bring a food truck or trailer on site
  • A sensible distance from buildings and neighbours
  • Access wide and high enough to drive in, with gates and soft lawns checked first

London streets around Canary Wharf can be narrow and busy, and all of Greater London sits inside the ULEZ. Tell us about loading, permits and any parking suspension when you enquire.

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think before you book.
