Near New Town, weddings are often in fields, barns or gardens. That’s where a food truck comes into its own: no venue kitchen needed, just level, firm ground and a way in. Let us know about access, ground, power and water. We serve from the hatch of our food truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan the service around your numbers.

Common questions in New Town

Could you serve our guests after a service at St Stephen's Church?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.

Will you travel to a small place like New Town?

Yes, small places are no problem, given access. Let us know about access and parking for the truck or trailer.

Do you cater for suppliers?

Of course. Include suppliers in your numbers.

What do you serve?

Mexican street food: tacos and build-your-own taco bars, burritos, burrito bowls, nachos and quesadillas, with salsas, guacamole and toppings. A drinks bar is available too.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We pack down and tidy our own area after service. Ask us if you’d like help with anything else.

What areas do you cover?

We cover London and the South East, Oxfordshire included. Find your area.

What if the timings change?

It happens at most weddings. Food is served to order, so we can start when you are ready, even if that moves.

When should we book?

As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Ask about your date even if it’s soon.

Planning for every diet

Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. Our advice:

  • Let us know about severe allergies in writing
  • Ask whether your venue allows food trucks
  • Let us know about supplier meals
  • Think about a covered space for wet weather

On the day, we work with your coordinator or toastmaster, so you don’t have to.

Quesadillas go down well with children.

Events we cater in New Town

Couples choose Mexican street food because it feels relaxed and generous, and because guests talk about it afterwards.

Whatever the occasion, our food truck or trailer can be the centre of it. We can cater:

  • Weddings with mixed diets
  • Evening wedding food
  • Rustic barn weddings
  • Gatherings the day after a wedding

It helps to add rail details to the invitations, as Pangbourne station is about 1.6 miles away.

How to compare caterers

Wedding Mexican catering or something else?

Some caterers only do the evening. We can cater the wedding breakfast too, so one caterer covers the day. Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so it helps to tell us about your venue. Your quote confirms the full price.

Popular choices

Taco bar wedding breakfast

Warm tortillas, a choice of fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings, laid out for guests to build their own.

Burrito bowls

A burrito bowl is a good alternative to tacos.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.

Step by step

Serving is quick: guests are served at the hatch or a serving station, so even a long queue moves. When service ends, we pack down. A winter wedding in New Town gets dark early, at about 3:55pm in December, so evening guests will be queuing in the dark. Festoon lights by the truck help guests see the menu.

  1. Send us your wedding date, venue and numbers.
  2. Together we plan the food for your day.
  3. Timings are agreed with your venue.
  4. On the day, we set up and serve on cue.
  5. We clear our area once service ends.

Before we arrive

  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
  • Let us know the timings for the day
  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time

What wedding Mexican catering costs

Every event is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:

  • The number of people
  • How long we are needed on site
  • Whether you need disposables
  • Staff for serving and the bar

Larger events can cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Give us your numbers and we’ll quote.

Details that help

Good planning starts with a few facts. Try to include:

  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • The address or venue name
  • The date and rough timings

A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: the venue, the timings, food or drinks or both, and the access. When you’re ready, tell us about it on our contact page.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
