About our wedding Mexican catering in Whitley

Evening food needs to be quick and filling, and tacos or loaded nachos from our truck or trailer fit the bill without stopping the dancing for long. It works well for receptions after an intimate ceremony and day-after wedding get-togethers, with a taco bar for the wedding breakfast, burrito bowls and evening tacos.

A farm or garden wedding near Whitley suits a food truck. We will need level, firm ground and a way to reach it. Every guest is catered for, vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free included, and we give allergen information for every dish.

Organising for someone else?

If you’re organising for someone else, whether you are a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we are happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It keeps things simple.

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we’ll follow them.

Space, access and the venue

The route in matters as much as the spot itself. We need:

  • Permission from the venue or landowner
  • Space for guests to queue
  • Power and water, which we confirm with you for each booking

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise.

Menu ideas

  • Margarita bar
  • Guacamole and salsas
  • Burritos and bowls
  • Nachos to share
  • Taco bar wedding breakfast
  • Evening tacos

How we price wedding Mexican catering

Each event is quoted on its own, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • The menu you choose
  • How many staff you need
  • How many guests we’re serving

Extra dishes, drinks and longer service are priced on request, so you choose what goes in.

What we need to know

You do not need everything decided to ask for a quote, but it helps to know:

  • Where the event is
  • Your menu ideas
  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • Diets and allergies you know about

A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: venue, timings, menu ideas and access. To send your details, fill in our quote form.

Whitley questions

What’s the nearest station to Whitley for guests?

The closest is Reading Green Park station, roughly 1.7 miles away.

Is it possible to have you in Pearman's Copse?

It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we’ll send what they need from us.

Do you cook on site?

Fillings are slow-cooked in advance, then finished and kept hot on site. Tortillas are warmed on site, and salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

Can you liaise with the venue coordinator?

Yes, it makes life easier. Introduce us and we’ll sort the details.

Do you do a taco bar?

We can. We can set up a build-your-own taco bar, served from the truck or a serving table, with fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings.

Can you cater for children?

Yes, children are easy to plan for. Let us know numbers and ages, and we will plan the menu with them in mind.

What’s on the menu?

Mexican street food and drinks: tacos and build-your-own taco bars, burritos, burrito bowls, nachos and quesadillas, with salsas, guacamole and toppings. We also run a Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas.

Where do you cater?

London and the South East: Greater London, Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and Oxfordshire.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, with allergen information for every dish.

How the day works

The truck or trailer tends to draw a crowd, so we plan a spot with space for people to queue. We can serve in the rain, though guests will want somewhere covered to stand or sit. At midsummer, sunset in Whitley is about 9:25pm, so we can time the evening food around your photos. Sunset is around 8:55pm in late May and 7:05pm in late September.

  1. We start with your date, venue, guest numbers and ideas for the day.
  2. Together we choose a taco bar, evening food or both, and we send a quote.
  3. Timings and where the truck or trailer will stand are agreed with your venue.
  4. We arrive, set up and serve the food at the agreed times.
  5. Once service is done, we pack away quietly.

Before we arrive

  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready
  • Tell us when you want service to start
  • Find out what power and water are available

Planning for every diet

Nearly every event has some special diets. To cater well for them:

  • Collect dietary needs on the RSVP
  • Think about a covered space for wet weather
  • Confirm the venue’s catering rules early
  • Introduce us to your venue coordinator

Evening food is served at the agreed time, often after the first dance.

Nachos to share work well later in the evening.

Perfect for your wedding in Whitley

It fits barns, marquees and gardens, where a formal sit-down meal is harder to manage.

We can help if you’re planning any of the following:

  • Evening wedding food
  • Day-after celebrations
  • Engagement celebrations
  • Parties after a register office wedding

It helps to add rail details to the invitations, as the nearest station is Reading Green Park station, about 1.7 miles west.

Before booking anyone

  • VAT, if it applies
  • The wet-weather plan
  • Whether travel is included
  • How many staff are serving, and for how long
