Where the truck can go in Brighstone

Every venue is different, so we’ll ask about yours when you contact us. In general, we need:

  • Approval from your facilities team or building manager
  • A spot away from buildings, windows and neighbours
  • Clear vehicle access: gate widths, height limits and the ground checked before the day

Brighstone is a more remote spot, so tell us early and we’ll plan the journey and access for the truck or trailer.

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think before booking.

The process

The truck or trailer tends to draw a crowd, so we plan a spot with space for people to queue. We can serve in the rain, though guests will want somewhere covered to stand or sit. In Brighstone, a summer staff party stays light until about 9:20pm; winter events, dark by about 4:05pm, need a well-lit serving area.

  1. We check the date and venue.
  2. You pick tacos, bowls, a taco bar or a mix.
  3. We provide any documents the site requests.
  4. Your team orders at the hatch or builds their own at the taco bar.
  5. We serve, then clear away.

Before we arrive

  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready
  • Give us your final numbers and diets
  • Find out what power and water are available

Can I do a taco night myself?

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it’s more work than it looks. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Read our guide to taco bars.

Some hosts like to do it themselves. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the serving.

Prices and what affects them

We will give you a clear quote. The main things that affect it are:

  • Serving staff
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • The menu you choose
  • What the venue already provides

There is no one-size-fits-all price for corporate Mexican catering. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Your quote sets it all out.

Getting an accurate quote

You don’t need every detail fixed to get a quote, but it helps to know:

  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children

Most quotes start with a few simple details: date, location, guest numbers and diets. To send them, tell us about it on our contact page.

For planners, venues and organisers

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.

If you’re planning an event on someone’s behalf, whether you’re a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we’re happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It keeps things simple.

Diets, allergies and planning

We cater for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan guests. To make it work smoothly:

  • Collect dietary needs when people sign up
  • Reserve space for the truck or trailer
  • Think about shade and seating
  • Share the timings for food

If the venue prefers, food can be served from a taco-bar station, with the truck or trailer parked where agreed.
