Food truck hire for your event in Barnes
When you hire our food truck, it serves your guests and nobody else. Unlike a stall at a festival or market, it is a private hire, so we plan the menu and service times around you. It works well for parties in venue grounds and leaving parties, serving quesadillas, vegan tacos and burrito bowls.
In a London neighbourhood like Barnes, the first question for food truck hire is parking. A drive, a courtyard or a car park can all work, with permission, and some streets may need a parking suspension from the council. Like all of Greater London, Barnes is inside the ULEZ. Everything is prepared fresh for your event and served from our truck or trailer, so guests get it at its best.

Your questions about food truck hire in Barnes
Which station is closest to Barnes?
Guests can use Barnes Bridge station, which is right in Barnes.
What about parking in Barnes?
That depends on the street. A drive, a courtyard or a bay suspended by the council can all work, so tell us what’s outside your venue. The ULEZ covers all of Greater London.
Do you sell to the public at private events?
When you hire us, the booking is yours, so we don’t serve passers-by. Organisers wanting us to trade at their event can see our festival page.
Is the food made fresh?
Food is cooked to order in our truck or trailer, or served from a build-your-own taco bar. Fillings are slow-cooked beforehand and finished on site.
Do you have vegan options?
Yes, and we plan them in from the start. Tell us your numbers when you ask for a quote, and we will keep their options separate.
Do you need power and water?
Let us know what’s available on site, such as a supply from the venue near where we will park, and we will confirm what we need with your quote.
Do you provide drinks?
Yes, we run a Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and soft drinks. Your venue or event may need the right licence for alcohol, so we’ll check the licensing with you.
What does it cost to hire the truck?
We don’t publish set prices, because each hire is different. Send your details and you’ll get a quote. See the Mexican catering cost guide for background.
How the day works
Service is quick and friendly: we serve from the hatch or a serving station, so even a long queue moves. When service ends, we pack down. By late September, it is dark in Barnes at around 7:05pm, so evening service from the truck may run past dusk. In late May, daylight lasts until about 8:55pm.
- Ask us whether your date is available.
- We agree a hatch menu and send a quote.
- The spot and the way in are agreed in advance.
- On the day, guests order at the hatch and we cook to order.
- After service, we close up and leave the spot clear.
How to prepare
- Confirm numbers and diets before the day
- Tell us what power and water the site has
- Measure any gates or arches on the way in
Getting a price
It’s easy to get a price: tell us the date, place, numbers and any dietary needs. We’ll send you a clear quote.

What we need at the venue
Before the day, we will agree where we park and serve. A good spot ticks these boxes:
- Parking arrangements if we are not on private land
- Gate widths, overhead branches and soft ground checked in advance
- A clear area for a queue at the hatch
London streets around Barnes can be narrow and busy, and all of Greater London sits inside the ULEZ. Tell us about loading, permits and any parking suspension when you enquire.
If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise before booking.
DIY taco night versus a caterer
You can set up your own drinks table, but someone has to serve all evening. See our margarita bar guide.
A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, with allergen information for every dish.
- Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
- Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
- Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
- Mexican drinks bar: margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas
