About our food truck hire in London
As a guide, hiring the truck or trailer suits around 50 to 400 guests. Smaller gatherings are looked at case by case, so tell us how many you expect. It works well for family reunions and big birthdays, with tacos from the hatch, burrito bowls and burritos.
London has all kinds of spaces where a hired food truck can serve, from venue car parks to big gardens. We need level, firm ground and a way in, and service is from the hatch. You can book food, drinks or both, so one caterer can cover more of the day.

Hiring our taco truck near London
London is in Greater London. Tell us where your event in London will be, and we will plan the journey and set-up before the day. We cater in 764 places across Greater London, from the larger towns to small villages.
Before you plan a private event in Newington Gardens, ask whoever manages it about vehicles on site. Close to London are historic houses such as Mansion House (1 mile north) and Dr Johnson's House (1.2 miles north-west). Listed venues often control where vehicles go, so raise food truck hire at your first visit.
Anywhere in CR0, E14, CR4 and SW11, we can bring the truck or trailer to your guests, from busy streets to quiet lanes. Whether your event is on Walcot Square, Surrey Square and Sutherland Square or a nearby road, we’ll plan where to park and serve. London is on the A2 and A10, so it’s easy for us to reach with the truck or trailer. Close by, we cover events in Walworth (1 mile south), Bermondsey (1 mile east), Camberwell (2 miles south), South Bermondsey (2 miles south-east) and Surrey Canal (2 miles south-east). Within a short drive, we also cover City of Westminster (3 miles west), Marylebone (3 miles north-west), Kensington (5 miles west), Walthamstow (7 miles north-east), Hampstead (5 miles north-west) and Ruislip (14 miles west). London is one of the larger places we cover in Greater London, with plenty of venues for events.
Well-known places in the area include Gabriel's Wharf (0.8 miles north-west) and Museum of Life Sciences (within half a mile north-east). Green spaces nearby include Bellenden Road Nature Garden and St. James's Park Lake.
- Local schools include London School of Musical Theatre (under half a mile west) and Ark Globe Academy (less than half a mile south)
- Local pubs include Trinity Arms Public House (less than half a mile south-east)
- Local facilities include The BFI Reuben Library (1 mile north-west) and County of London (1.1 miles north)
Can I do a taco night myself?
Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the serving.
You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.
Space, access and the venue
Before the day, we’ll agree where we park and serve. A good spot ticks these boxes:
- Somewhere for guests to sit or stand and eat
- A flat parking spot on firm ground or hardstanding
- Some space between the truck and nearby homes
Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly before booking.

Questions from London
What’s the nearest station to London for guests?
London has its own station: Elephant & Castle station.
Can you cater a reception after a service at St George the Martyr?
Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.
Do you cook on site?
Food is cooked to order in our food truck or trailer, or served from a build-your-own taco bar. Fillings are slow-cooked beforehand and finished on site.
Are plates and napkins included?
Please ask us. Let us know what you already have, and we will set out plates, napkins and cutlery in your quote.
How far ahead should we book?
The sooner the better. Peak dates go quickly, so contact us early.
Do you cater for dietary needs?
We plan gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan options, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests. Allergen information is available for every dish.
What’s on the menu?
Every menu is agreed with you. Fillings might include slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga, beef birria and vegan options such as spiced mushrooms or black beans. See our menu for ideas.
Do you do food truck hire for weddings?
We can serve from the truck for the wedding meal, the evening or both. We fit service around your running order. See our food truck wedding guide.
The process
Your timings come first. If things run behind, let us know and we’ll adjust where we can. By late September, it’s dark in London at around 7:05pm, so a later service will need some lighting. In late May, daylight lasts until about 8:50pm.
- Tell us the date, the location, rough numbers and any diets.
- We suggest a menu for the hatch and quote for it.
- We confirm the parking spot, access, power and water with you or the venue.
- On the day we drive in, set up and serve to order from the hatch.
- Once guests are fed, we clear our area and head off.
How to prepare
- Give us a contact for the day
- Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
- Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely

Prices and what affects them
We will give you a clear quote. What affects it most:
- What the venue already provides
- How long we are needed on site
- Food, drinks or both
- Distance and access to the venue
Comparing caterers? Look at what each quote includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Our quote sets out what’s included.
What we need to know
When you contact us, it helps to tell us:
- A photo of the space, if it’s a garden or field
- Gate widths, slopes and the ground
- Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
- Expected numbers
Getting a quote is simple: share your date, venue, numbers and diets. We’ll come back with a clear quote and a suggested menu.

Dietary needs and planning tips
We cater for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan guests. To get it right:
- Send allergy details in writing
- Think about cover if the weather turns
- Look into parking permissions if the truck cannot go off-road
- Collect diets and allergies with your RSVPs
Guests come to the hatch, order and wait a short moment for hot food.
Ask us about napkins, plates and cutlery and we’ll confirm what’s possible.
Is food truck hire right for your event?
Burger and pizza vans are familiar. A Mexican food truck offers something less expected. The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, along with extras and where your event is. We quote for each event individually.
