Food truck hire for Fawley events

Food truck hire in Fawley, from our food truck or trailer

Fillings might include carnitas, al pastor-style pork or chicken tinga, alongside a vegan option such as spiced mushroom. There are options for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests. It suits weddings and family reunions, serving fresh salsas and guacamole, loaded nachos and vegan tacos.

In a rural place like Fawley, access is the main thing to plan for a hired truck: the gate, the ground and the distance from the lane. Power and water may be limited, so we confirm the arrangements before the day. We prepare everything fresh for your event and serve it straight from our food truck or trailer, so guests get it at its best.

Planners, venues and businesses

Hosting a party at home? Send a picture of the space and tell us about access, and we will tell you honestly whether a truck or trailer will fit.

If you are organising for someone else, whether you are a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we will work directly with you and the venue. It saves passing messages back and forth.

Fawley: your questions answered

Can you cater a reception after a service at St Mary the Virgin's Church?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

Can you bring your truck or trailer to Fawley Court and Temple Island?

Only if the landowner, often the council, allows it. Ask them first, and we will help with the information they need from us.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

We confirm that with your quote. Let us know what the venue supplies.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

We plan allergen-aware menus, including for nut allergies, and give allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we can’t promise anything is completely allergen-free. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.

Can you do gluten-free food?

Yes, we offer gluten-free options, made with corn tortillas. Let us know about coeliac guests in advance so we can talk through how their food is prepared.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Ask about your date even if it is soon.

Do you provide drinks?

Yes, we do. Our drinks bar can be booked on its own or with food, with alcohol-free options such as aguas frescas. For alcohol, we will go through the licensing with you and your venue.

Is the truck suitable for a large group?

Truck and trailer service typically suits around 50 to 400 guests. Smaller gatherings are looked at case by case.

What we need at the venue

No two venues are the same, so we ask about the space before we confirm. In general, we need:

  • Space in front of the hatch for guests to queue
  • The landowner’s go-ahead for the truck or trailer
  • Distance from houses and windows

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise.

What’s on the menu

Burritos

Rice, beans, a filling and salsa wrapped in a big tortilla.

Loaded nachos

Tortilla chips with cheese, a filling, salsa and guacamole, for sharing.

What happens on the day

When we arrive, we park the truck or trailer in the agreed spot and set up. We’re ready to serve at the agreed time, planned around your event. By late September, it’s dark in Fawley at around 7:05pm, so a later service will need some lighting. A late-May event keeps its light until roughly 8:55pm.

  1. First come the basics: date, location, numbers and diets.
  2. We suggest a menu for the hatch and quote for it.
  3. Before the day, we agree the spot, the way in, power and water.
  4. Your guests order at the hatch and we serve hot food at the agreed times.
  5. Once guests are fed, we clear our area and head off.

Preparing for the day

  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
  • Tell us about narrow gates or low branches
  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve

How we price food truck hire

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • Serving staff
  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • The length of service

Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, plus any add-ons and the location. We quote for each event individually.

Getting an accurate quote

Here’s what makes a quick, accurate quote possible:

  • The venue or postcode
  • A picture of the space, if it’s a garden or field
  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground
  • Expected numbers

Send us the date, your venue or RG9 postcode and guest numbers, plus any dietary needs, and we’ll reply with a menu suggestion and a quote. To get started, tell us about it on our contact page.

Should I do it myself?

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: see how many tacos per person. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone has to serve all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

Occasions we cater for in Fawley

It’s a private hire, so the queue is your guests only and the menu suits them.

If you’re planning any of these, we can help:

  • Wedding evening food
  • Retirement parties
  • Staff appreciation days
  • Launch events

Parks such as Fawley Court and Temple Island usually need permission for vehicles and catering, so a garden or hired venue is often simpler.

Questions to ask before you book

  • When payment is due
  • Exactly what’s included in the price
  • VAT, if it applies
  • Allergen information for each dish

How to compare caterers

Catering for every guest

We cater for vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free guests. To get it right:

  • Agree service times with us
  • Email us any allergies
  • Give us separate numbers for children
  • Think about cover if the weather turns

We keep allergen information for every dish at the hatch.

Quesadillas make an easy option for children.
